Break Management Settings

Learn how to set the break management settings on Timesheets and Roster on Payroller with our simple guide below.

Step 1: Go to ‘Roster’.

Step 2: Click ‘Actions’.

Step 3: Select ‘Roster settings’.

Step 4: Open the ‘Break management’ tab.

Step 5: You may toggle on ‘Break reminders’ under ‘Meal breaks’ to notify employees when their meal break ends or goes over time.

Step 6: Set the ‘Default meal break duration’ time and choose whether it is paid or unpaid. To remove the default duration, set it to ‘0’ minutes.

Step 7: You may toggle on ‘Break reminders under ‘Rest breaks’ to notify employees when their rest break ends or goes over time.

Step 8: Set the ‘Default rest break duration’ time and choose whether it is paid or unpaid. To remove the default duration, set it to ‘0’ minutes.

Step 9: Click ‘Save changes’ to confirm

Once saved, the meal and rest breaks will display as ‘0 mins’ if no default time is set, and will indicate whether they are paid or unpaid based on your setting selection.
