Learn how Home page works in Timesheets and Roster on Payroller with our simple guide below.
The Home page is the main landing page for all Payroller and Timesheet and Rostering users. It brings together learning resources, onboarding steps, quick actions, and, once a workspace is active, daily tasks, issues needing attention, and notifications.
To access it, click the ‘Home’ button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
The Home page has two main parts:
Overview – shows all recurring tasks and urgent tasks that need attention, as well as new features.
Learn Payroller – located at the bottom, this section provides articles and video guides to help users learn how to use Timesheets and Roster.
The Overview section includes the following categories:
All – shows pending tasks from both ‘Action Needed’ and ‘To-Do’.
Action Needed – flags tasks that require urgent attention or have blocking errors (e.g., STP rejected, declined shifts, unfilled open shifts).
To-Do – lists scheduled or recurring tasks (e.g., approve timesheets, run pay, build roster, automate payruns, automate roster).
There are usually two actions you can take on items in ‘Action Needed’ or ‘To Dos’: Dismiss or Review/Set up.
Clicking Dismiss will remove the prompt.
Clicking Review/Set up will take you to the page where you need to take action.
For example, clicking ‘Automate your roster’ will take you to the Roster page, where you can set up ‘Proactive Rostering’.
The Home page helps users navigate the system and ensures important tasks like pay runs, rosters, and timesheet workflows are not missed.
