Who writes this content?
This content comes from the Purposeful Design curriculum developed and published by Purposeful Design Publications (PDP), the publishing arm of ACSI, the Association of Christian Schools International. You are viewing ACSI’s digitized version of their Teacher Edition, PDP Digital (powered by Edusfere).
Each course is created by a team of Christian educators with experience spanning elementary through university levels, working collaboratively rather than through a single author.
The development process draws on subject-level experts, classroom teachers, editors, and graphic designers, whose review and feedback shape every stage of production.
All attached materials and companion print titles are also developed and provided by PDP, so the digital and print resources come from the same source and reflect the same standards and biblical worldview.
What is PDP Digital, and how does it relate to Edusfere?
PDP Digital is the digitized version of Purposeful Design Publications' (PDP) printed Teacher Editions, published by ACSI. It brings each Teacher Edition into an interactive workspace where every unit, lesson, and activity is organized in one place, with resources attached directly to the lessons where they're needed.
Edusfere is the curriculum mapping and lesson planning platform that hosts and delivers PDP Digital. In other words, PDP creates and owns the content, and Edusfere is the platform you use to access, plan, and adapt it.
Within Edusfere, you can plan and document instruction, access the resources attached to each activity, and adapt activities to fit your classroom—while the original PDP content remains intact as the published source of record.
Can I use Edusfere if my school has limited internet connectivity?
Edusfere is a web-based application, so it requires a reliable internet connection to use.
How do I give feedback or request a feature?
There is a help button in the bottom right-hand corner of the site at all times. Clicking it will open our support center where you can ask for help, leave feedback or request a feature.
Is there a mobile app or offline mode planned?
Yes, we are planning for both in the future.
Does Edusfere support multiple languages for international schools?
Currently, the Edusfere interface is available only in English, though content can be entered in most languages. We plan to expand language support as we grow.
What is the benefit of using Edusfere under the PDP brand?
The main benefit is that you get the PDP curriculum you already know and trust—the same biblical-worldview content and published Teacher Edition—now delivered in a modern digital workspace.
Everything in one place. Every unit, lesson, and activity is organized in a single hub, with Teacher Resources (LMs, DMs, PDs) attached directly to the lessons where they're used—no hunting through separate sites or flipping through a physical copy.
Less prep, more teaching. Vocabulary definitions, materials lists, prep/class-time estimates, and step-by-step instructions are built into each activity, so planning is faster.
Flexibility without losing integrity. You can Adapt activities to fit your classroom (IEP/504 accommodations, ELL support, extension work) while the original PDP content stays intact as the source of record.
Your work stays put. Adaptations you make are saved right in the platform, so your customizations stay with the lesson instead of in a separate file.
Trusted content, modern tools. Because it's delivered under the PDP brand, you can be confident it's not generic third-party material—it's the PDP curriculum you rely on, with the added convenience, searchability, and interactivity of the Edusfere platform.
What happens to our courses and adapted activities if we don't renew our subscription?
When a PDP Digital subscription expires, the associated course and all of the teacher's adapted activities are hidden from your Edusfere platform but retained for 12 months—they are not deleted right away.
If your school repurchases the same course within that 12-month window, all saved data is restored, including every teacher's adaptations, exactly as before.
If the course is repurchased after the 12-month window has passed, the previous data is permanently removed, and the course starts fresh—any earlier adaptations or teacher work would need to be recreated.
Can our school add its own courses alongside our PDP Curriculum?
PDP Digital gives your teachers the complete PDP curriculum, ready to teach. If your school would also like to create its own courses alongside it, a full Edusfere school subscription extends the platform with school-wide planning and management tools.
With a school subscription, teachers can build their own courses, units, and lessons from scratch using the same planning structure they already know from PDP Digital.
Administrators also gain tools to organize, align, and oversee curriculum across the school, such as:
Curriculum mapping and standards-alignment tracking across grades and subjects, with coverage visible at a glance
Reporting and instructional insights that support quality control and school goals
Preserved institutional knowledge and continuity when staff transition
An integrated school planner and calendar
Substitute plans teachers can share so a sub has everything they need
Collaboration and resource sharing across teams and departments
AI-assisted lesson and unit planning
Google integration
