Paperwork Settings
This is where you add liability paperwork to your event.
When someone registers for your event, the documents you turn on here will be included in the registration process.
All participants will be forced to sign the document including riders, grooms, trainers, owners, spectators, and staff.
The list is currently limited to core USEF-licensed event documents.
As Pegasus adds support for more events and disciplines, documents for these events will be added to this list.
If you have a document you want Pegasus to add to this screen, send an email to sam@thepegasus.app with an editable copy (Microsoft Word) of the document attached, as well as instructions as to when it would be required for an event.
Instructions
Add document. To include a document in your event, simply turn the toggle 'On'. You can turn on as many documents as you wish. To remove a document, toggle it 'Off'.
Review document. To review the document's details, click 'View Document' under each document.
Understand document. To learn what the document is for and when to use it, hover over the question mark next to each document for instructions. Pegasus tracks USEF policy changes and routinely updates these instructions.
Entry Blanks
Pegasus replaces the need for 'Entry Blanks'. Therefore, you will not be able to turn this button on. We include it so you don't wonder where it is.
General Liability Waiver
The General Liability Waiver is a universal waiver that protects all event organizers.
Pegasus had this written by lawyers to cover all equestrian events types and scenarios. You cannot turn this off - all people participating in the event must sign it.
The General Liability Waiver has an Annex. This is where you add custom legal clauses that are specific to your event / company / property.
To add custom clauses to the Annex, go to the Legal Tab in your profile settings.
FAQ
Can riders register without submitting their paperwork?
Yes and no.
If you are going through the registration process yourself, then you are forced to sign your paperwork during the registration process.
If a rider is registered for an event by someone else, such as their trainer, then they will receive the paperwork to sign after they have been registered for the event.
The next time they log in to Pegasus, they will have a notification that they have paperwork to sign and will be able to sign it then.
They will also receive an email notifying them they have paperwork to sign, and how long until the event starts, so they know they have to sign it before the start date.
You can also track who has and has not signed their paperwork in the Manage Event Dashboard, and you can click the ‘Send reminder’ button that will automatically send them a reminder to log in and sign their paperwork.
Why can’t I turn on entry blank?
Pegasus replaces the need for entry blanks.
All the data that an entry blank collects from a rider registering for your event is automatically synchronized from their profile into your Manage Event dashboard when they register.
We have made it visible and unable to turn on during the create event process so that you know we haven’t forgotten about it and you don’t go looking for where to add it.
