Messaging Clients in Perchwell

Messaging is available to the client once a client has been invited to Perchwell. It allows you and your client to communicate directly inside the platform, with conversations linked to the listings you've shared.

Clients can:

  1. View shared listings

  2. Send messages

  3. React to properties with feedback

All communication stays organized and easy to reference.


Starting a New Message

Begin a conversation from the Messages tab.

  1. Click Messages in the top navigation bar.

  2. Hover over the Contacts panel on the left.

  3. Click the pencil icon in the top right corner of the panel.

  4. Select the contact you want to message.

  5. Enter your message in the chat.

  6. Click the Send icon.

The conversation will appear in your Messages view.

Other Ways to Start a New Message

Contacts Page

1. Go to Contacts.

2. Click the message icon next to the contact.

Search Page |

1. Go to Search.

2. Select listings using the checkboxes.

3. Click Share via Messages in the footer.

4. Select the contact.

5. Click Share.

Listing Detail Page

1. Open a Listing Detail Page.

2. Click Share.

3. Click the notepad icon.

4. Select the contact.

5. Click Share.

Tags Page

1. Go to Tags.

2. Search and click on a tag to view the listings.

3. Click the checkbox next to specific listings if needed.

4. Click Share in the footer.

5. Select the contact.

6. Click Share.

All conversations route to the same Messages tab.


Reactions & Shared Properties

Client reactions help you quickly understand listing interest.

Invited clients can react to listings using:

  • Like

  • Maybe

  • Reject

These reactions automatically organize listings in the Shared Properties view.

Viewing Client Feedback

  1. Open a conversation in Messages.

  2. Click Shared Properties.

  3. Listings default to All.

  4. Select Undecided, Maybe, Liked, or Rejected to filter results.

Click any listing to jump directly into the related message thread and continue the conversation.


Manage Alerts and Notifications

Stay informed when clients respond.

  • You will receive an email notification when a new message arrives.

  • A green dot appears over the Messages tab on desktop.

  • Mobile users receive a push notification.

To review new messages:

  1. Click Messages.

  2. Look for conversations with a notification bubble.

  3. Click the contact's name to open the conversation.


Tips

  • Messaging is available to invited clients only.

  • Clients see a similar messaging interface within their Client Portal.

  • Timestamps show when listings were shared and when messages were sent.

  • Conversations cannot be deleted.
