How Analytics Uses Search Filters

Analytics charts are based on the filters applied in your current search. Adjusting filters on the Search page changes the dataset used to generate charts, allowing you to analyze different segments of the market.

How Analytics Data Is Generated

Analytics does not use a separate dataset. Instead, it uses the same listings returned by your current search.

This means the charts reflect:

  • The location filters applied

  • The property type

  • Price ranges

  • Status filters

  • Any additional criteria included in the search

When you update filters, the charts automatically refresh to reflect the updated results.

Example: How Filters Affect Charts

Consider a search for 2-bedroom Single Homes in Foley.

If you change the filters, the Analytics charts will update accordingly:

Filter Change

Chart Result

Add a price filter

Charts display pricing trends within that range

Change property type

Charts update to reflect that property type

Adjust listing status

Charts show data only for those listings

Expand the location

Charts include additional properties in the analysis

This allows you to quickly analyze different market segments without creating new reports.

How to Update Analytics Results

To analyze different data, adjust the filters on the Search page.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Search page.

  2. Apply or adjust your search filters.

  3. Select the Analytics tab.

πŸ’‘ Charts will automatically update based on the updated search results.

  • Saved searches retain the filters used to generate Analytics charts.
