Introduction to Perifit Care

What is Perifit Care?

Perifit Care is a Kegel exerciser that uses two force sensors (see Superficial & Deep Sensors article) to measure your pelvic floor contractions and your intra-abdominal pressure.

Your Perifit Care connects to an app that allows you to play video games based on your pelvic floor's contractions. This technology is called biofeedback.

The results of your workouts are analyzed, allowing you to measure your improvement and stay motivated throughout the entire journey toward a problem-free pelvic floor, while preventing any self-harm coming from an undesirable intra-abdominal pressure during training.

Why use Perifit Care?

Kegel exercises have been clinically shown to improve bladder control, speed up postnatal recovery, and reduce the risk of prolapse.

Multiple studies show that pelvic floor biofeedback is one of the most effective methods of doing Kegel exercises.

But not all Kegel exercises are created equal. The Perifit Care probe and programs have been designed by top pelvic floor experts to give you the best result for your efforts. The contraction patterns used in the games are based on therapeutic protocols with proven scientific efficiency.

Perifit Care design

Sensors

Perifit Care consists of two force sensors:

  1. The superficial sensor measures the force applied along the front-to-back axis (the one passing through the lotus and the power button). This is the axis along which the pelvic floor muscles pull when you perform a pelvic floor contraction.

  2. The deep sensor measures the force applied along the transverse axis, which is an excellent way to measure intra-abdominal pressure and, ultimately, to assess the quality of your pelvic floor contractions. As we will detail later, intra-abdominal pressure should be minimized.

Collar

Besides, your Perifit Care has a white collar that displays the ON/OFF button and the LED indicator. If the LED flashes green, your probe is ON.

Wire

Finally, Perifit Care communicates with your device using a Bluetooth antenna located at the end of the white wire.

Perifit Care+ design

Sensors

Perifit Care+ consists of two force sensors:

  1. The superficial sensor measures your contractions and relaxations

  2. The deep sensor detects intra-abdominal pressure and incorrect contractions

Tail

The end of the tail of your Perifit Care+ is where you'll find the ON/OFF button and the LED indicator. If the LED flashes white, your probe is ON.

Your Perifit Care+ also communicates with your device using a Bluetooth antenna located at the end of the tail.
