Overview

Connecting the Google Business API lets you automatically reward customers with stamps or points when they leave a 5-star review on Google Maps. This is a powerful way to grow your Google reviews while incentivising customer engagement.

This feature works with the following card types: Stamp, Reward, Cashback, Multipass, and Gift.

Prerequisites

You must have a verified business profile on Google Business before connecting.

How to connect

Step 1: Connect Google Business API

  1. Navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu, then click Services.

  2. Click Connect to Google Business API.

  3. Enter your Place ID (you can find this using the Google Place ID Finder).

Step 2: Configure your card template

  1. Navigate to Cards in the left-hand menu and open the card template you want to configure.

  2. In the card settings, enter how many points or stamps you want to award customers for a positive review.

  3. Add a link to your business review page on Google Maps.

How it works

  1. A customer visits your business and earns a stamp or points as usual.

  2. They receive a feedback request and give a 5-star rating through your loyalty card.

  3. They tap the Google Maps link and leave a review on Google Maps within 10 minutes.

  4. The system detects the review and automatically awards the configured stamps or points to their card.

Important: The customer must leave the Google Maps review within 10 minutes of giving the 5-star rating through the loyalty card. Reviews submitted after 10 minutes will not trigger the reward.

Note: Each customer can only receive a reward for a Google review once per card. Repeat reviews do not earn additional stamps or points.
