How to issue cards in bulk and send installation links

Issue loyalty cards to multiple customers at once and send personalised installation links via email or SMS.

Overview

If you have an existing customer base, you can issue loyalty cards to all of them at once and send each customer a personalised installation link. This is done in two steps: first issue the cards in bulk from your customer base, then create a mailing with the installation link so each customer can install their card.


Step 1: Bulk issue the cards

  1. Navigate to Customers in the left-hand menu.

  2. In the Customer Base, tick the top checkbox to select all customers, or tick specific customers individually.

  3. Click Actions and select Issue Card.

  4. Choose the card template you want to issue.

  5. Confirm to issue the cards.

Each selected customer now has the card added to their profile with a unique installation link generated automatically.

Note: For Membership cards, you can also choose the tier and period during the bulk issue process.


Step 2: Send a mailing with the installation link

  1. Navigate to Mailings in the left-hand menu.

  2. Create a new mailing and select Email, SMS, or both.

  3. Choose your recipients β€” all customers or a specific segment.

  4. In the message, add the installation link placeholder so each customer receives their own unique link.

  5. Send immediately or schedule for a future date and time.

Important: You need Mailgun connected for email delivery and/or Twilio connected for SMS delivery. Without these services, messages will not be sent.


FAQs

Does each customer get their own unique link?

Yes. When you issue a card, a unique installation link is generated for each customer. Using the installation link placeholder in your mailing inserts the correct link for each recipient automatically.

Can I issue different card types to different customers?

Not in a single bulk action. Each bulk issue applies one card template. To issue different card types, repeat the process for each template with the relevant customers selected.

Do I have to send the mailing immediately after issuing?

No. The cards are issued to customer profiles regardless of whether you send a mailing. You can send the installation links at any time β€” immediately, scheduled, or even days later.

Can I choose the tier and period when issuing Membership cards in bulk?

Yes. During the bulk issue process for Membership cards, you can select the membership tier and subscription period for the batch.

What if I already have customers imported but without cards?

Follow the same steps β€” select the customers in your Customer Base, issue the card template, then send the mailing with the installation link.
