Overview
The Mailings section lets you create and send SMS and email campaigns to your customer base. You can target all customers or specific segments, send immediately or schedule for a future date, and personalise each message with placeholders that insert customer-specific details automatically.
Prerequisites
Before you can send mailings, connect your messaging providers in your account settings:
Twilio — Required for sending SMS messages
Mailgun — Required for sending email messages
Once connected, the mailing feature becomes available in your dashboard.
How to create a mailing
Step 1: Start a new mailing
Click Mailings in the left-hand menu.
Click Actions and select Create Mailing.
In the popup, enter a name for the mailing and select the type: Email, SMS, or both.
Click Create Mailing.
Step 2: Choose your recipients
Select who should receive the mailing:
All customers — Sends to your entire customer base
Segment — Sends to a specific group of customers based on filters
Step 3: Write your message
Enter your message in the text editor. You can use:
Emojis — Add emojis to make your message more engaging
Placeholders — Insert dynamic fields that are replaced with each recipient's personal details (e.g., first name, card balance, or card installation link). Expand the Placeholders section and select the desired card to see available options
Placeholders allow you to make each message unique for every recipient — for example, "Hi {first_name}, you have {balance} points waiting for you!"
Step 4: Send or schedule
Choose when to send:
Send immediately — The mailing is sent as soon as you confirm
Schedule — Tick the Schedule checkbox, choose a date and time, and the mailing will be sent automatically at the scheduled time
Step 5: Confirm
Click Create Mailing to finalise. The mailing appears in your mailings list.

FAQs
Are there ready-made mailing templates?
No. Templates are not provided by default — the feature is designed to give you full flexibility in composing your own messages. Create any text content and adjust the formatting to match your brand's tone and communication style.
What are placeholders?
Placeholders are dynamic fields that are replaced with each customer's personal data when the mailing is sent. For example, a placeholder for the customer's first name will insert their actual name into the message. Expand the Placeholders section when writing your mailing to see all available options for your selected card.
Can I send both SMS and email in the same mailing?
Yes. When creating a mailing, select both Email and SMS as the type. The same message will be sent via both channels.
Do I need Twilio and Mailgun connected?
You need Twilio connected to send SMS and Mailgun connected to send email. You can connect one or both depending on which channels you want to use.
Can I see if a message was delivered?
Yes. Click on the mailing name in the list to view individual sending statuses for each recipient.
