A file in CSV format is ideal for exchanging simple, structured data. You can use this file type to import and export contact data between different apps.

How do I export sessions/conversions?

Exporting your data is possible with a few clicks. For performance and security reasons, an export gets sent to the email address your account runs on and is not available to download directly.

How do I export conversions/calls?

You can export your data with just a few clicks. For performance and security reasons, however, an export is not made available for direct download, but is sent to the email address to which your account is registered.

  1. Open a funnel that you have already used to collect visitor data in the editor

  2. Navigate to your conversions or sessions via the analysis area

  3. You will now see a download icon at the top right

  4. Click on the download icon on the right and a view opens with details about the export

  5. Choose between
    - CSV for the conversion/call data or
    - ZIP for uploaded files (CV etc.)

  6. Click on “Send e-mail”


Done! Now check your e-mail inbox and download the file

How can I display the data of my CSV file clearly?

If you are using a Windows computer, your table might look a bit messy as-is. This is because CSV files are exported as text files. Please save the file once and open it in Excel. From there, you can choose how the data should be separated into columns with the text wizard.

Select here then once the following:

Window 1:

  • Separated

  • Data has headings

  • Then click on "next"

Window 2:

  • Select "Tabstop" only

  • Click on "next" and in window 3 click on "finish".

If you still have problems with the display of the columns you can also import the CSV into Google Sheets and download it again as Excel. This takes a little longer but can be an emergency solution if a field does not display correctly, for example. Or if the columns adjustment does not work.

For Apple users who use the Numbers app, the CSV export automatically displays in columns.
