General tips

The following recommendations apply to all funnels and can be applied to all industries and sectors:

  1. Put yourself in your visitors' shoes and create a convincing value proposition.

This is our first and most important tip to make your funnels successful. It’s important regardless of your industry or the type of funnels you create. We'll show you exactly how to create your attractive value proposition HERE.

  2. Make the questions in your funnel as simple as possible.
The visitor should be able to answer these questions intuitively and without much thought. Pick up on the dreams, ideas and expectations of your funnel visitors. (Example: What’s your hair color?)

Options that the user can answer with one simple click are particularly successful. As a professional funnel builder, you know exactly how to recognize what your target group needs and understand them on a deeper level. Use simple yes/no questions to do that.

  3. Make sure the language you use is the same language your target group speaks.

The wording within your funnels should also be adapted to your visitors and their ideas. In doing so, they will be able to relate to you much better.

To emphasize this, we recommend that you use positive language. Make sure to avoid negative words and work with sound adjectives to create an emotional connection through your funnel.

If your visitor is able to picture and visualize what you are saying with your funnel, you can be sure that you’ve sparked her interest.

The first page of your funnel: How to start successfully

As you might guess, the first page of any funnel is the most important one. It’s the first impression of your product or service and therefore, even more important for you to start off strongly!

1. Start with a question

If you start your funnel with a well-formulated question that speaks to your visitors, you’re already halfway there. A question that’s tailored to your target group makes you gain more leads in the long run and helps you to collect high quality contacts.

Knowing this, it is important to spend some time on potential questions your visitors would likely ask. In doing so, you clearly show the added value of your funnel.

2. Clearly highlight your value proposition

Your value proposition should be clearly visible at all times and easy to understand, especially at the beginning of your funnel. Use the right wording and highlight your value proposition visually (by color, size, etc.) to make it stand out.

We also recommend communicating what it is that you expect from your visitors, for example by walking her through the different steps that she can take on your page. With enough clarity, your visitors will perceive the information on your website to be valuable.

From our own experience, it’s most successful to clearly communicate the amount of steps you’d like your visitor to take and the buttons she should click on. This way, you can create trust and make your visitor feel good.

3. Make sure your target audience is clear!

To convert your visitors into leads, it’s important to let them know who you are talking to. Address their needs and wants clearly.

Use the right language, images and colors, and clearly address your target audience to achieve a higher conversion rate right at the beginning of your funnel.

Tips for the ideal structure of your funnel

To achieve the best possible funnel structure that gives your visitors a good overview of your offer and turn them into leads quickly, read through our suggestions.

1. Keep it simple, don't overload your funnel.

When creating your funnel, always think about your main goal: Creating trust as soon as someone visits your funnel. They are looking for a positive impression of what you offer.

Therefore, avoid long funnels and don’t present your entire offer at once. Instead, work with images and icons to create emotional connections.

We recommend a total page count of about 3 to 8 pages per funnel. Within this range, the visitor will not get bored. At the same time, you have an opportunity to build a strong foundation for a lasting customer relationship.

2. Present a clear overview to your visitors

Within the first 3 seconds, your funnel should make one thing very clear: What is it about and who is it for. If you want to turn your visitor into a qualified lead, she needs to understand why she should care about your funnel and what advantages she’ll get from doing so.

Make sure to align your funnel with your image and your advertising measures. Ideally, this will create a common thread, both visually and in terms of your content, from the first point of contact all the way to the acquisition of the lead.

Once you’re done, it’s important to provide clear measures of orientation within your funnel. For example, you can indicate the page numbers of your funnel and how many steps are left to complete until the entire value proposition is fulfilled.

3. Create trust!

To reach your personal funnel goal, you need to build trust and empathize with your visitors. We believe that no one likes to feel pressured into making a decision.

Pressuring your visitor into making an immediate appointment or wanting her to make a quick purchase, highly discourage your visitors from spending more time on your funnel.

We therefore suggest that you first provide your visitors with something that creates actual value before asking them to take action. An excellent way to do this is to offer a so-called freebie, for example, using our freebie funnel.

Integrating testimonials and positive customer reviews can also be an ideal source for building trust within your funnel.

How to end your funnel in the best way possible

Keep your visitors in mind while reading through the following suggestions.

1. Create an appealing opt-in page

Together with your home page, the opt-in page deserves special focus. You’re actively asking your visitors to trust you with their personal data in this step.

Knowing this, it is particularly important to make your visitors aware of what they get in return for entering their data. This is a good way of repeating your value proposition once again.

In order to achieve a high conversion rate, we recommend a clear form block with simple words and no more than 3 input fields. Again, make sure the wording you use is positive. (e.g. How can we best reach out to you?).

2. Design individual result pages

Take full advantage of Perspective's opportunities and create individual results pages for your visitors. In doing so, you show how much you care about your visitors and have a unique chance to make them feel good.

Your lead will not only be more satisfied, but also more likely to engage with your offers.

On the results page, you can present them with the ideal opportunity to do this, for example by linking to another funnel or your website, providing a contact option via Whatsapp, or offering a free ebook or PDF.
