What is Make.com?
Make.com is a platform that allows users to create and automate workflows and integrate thousands of apps through a visual interface. Using Perspective in combination with Make, you can send contact data collected through your Perspective funnel to any third-party software that Make offers to integrate with..
You can, for example, send...
captured leads to your CRM of choice.
new job applications to you favourite Applicant tracking system.
survey results to Google Sheets.
How does Make work?
To use Make.com, start by creating an account and connecting the apps and services you wish to automate. With your apps connected, you can create 'Scenarios'.
Scenarios consist of 'modules' which are the individual steps in your workflow. These modules can be linked together to form workflows.
The platform features a visual drag-and-drop interface, allowing users to easily design these workflows, even without any coding experience. This intuitive interface simplifies the process of automating tasks across various applications and services.
Triggers and Actions in Make
In Make, the concepts of "triggers" and "actions" are fundamental:
Triggers: A trigger is an event that starts a scenario. It's the 'if' part of an automation rule. For example, capturing a new lead via Perspective could be a trigger.
Actions: Actions are the tasks carried out once a trigger occurs. They're the 'then' part of the automation rule. For instance, after capturing a new lead (trigger), an action could be to automatically send the lead data to a CRM (e.g. Salesforce).
Together, triggers and actions form the basis of automations, allowing scenarios to run automatically when specified conditions are met.
Which Perspective Triggers & Actions can I use?
Triggers
New Lead via Funnel
This trigger activates each time a funnel visitor submits a funnel form containing either an email or phone field. Gain immediate access to all the data collected up to the moment of form submission, ready to be used within Make.
Please note: Any data captured after the form submission won't be included in the trigger data.
Visitor Completes a Funnel
This trigger activates every time a visitor reaches a funnel's result page. This integration captures and includes all data collected up to that moment.
Please note: Sometimes, a lead might be captured without reaching the result page, such as when a visitor exits the funnel immediately after submitting a form. For the most reliable lead capture, we suggest opting for the "New Lead via Funnel" trigger. This ensures you don't miss out on any potential leads, even if they don't complete the entire funnel journey.
Actions
Get a Lead
When triggered, this action lets you retrieve all existing data for a specific lead, no matter if that data was captured before or after a lead's form submission. This allows you to access data points you deliberately ask for after the lead form (e.g., to keep conversion rate high).
To transfer a subsequently uploaded CV, for example, you can work with the "Watch for New Leads" trigger in the first step. You can then follow this trigger with a delayed "Get a Lead" action (e.g. delayed by 10 minutes):
To set up the "Get a Lead" action, simply select the lead ID variable of your funnel here:
