Phase connects to John Deere Operations Center to import setup data and, on Phase Ultra, sync completed field work for reconciliation.

Reconcile used to be a tab in Inventory. It moved to Data Feeds in October 2026 and works the same inside. Old links and bookmarks to it forward there, with a note: "Reconcile has moved here from Inventory."

The John Deere Operations Center page has one header row: the connection as a dot and words (Checking, Connected with the organisation in use, Reconnect needed or Not connected), then one main button and an Actions menu. The main button is Connect John Deere, or Open Deere permissions once connected. Actions holds Refresh and, once connected, Reconnect Deere and Disconnect John Deere. Disconnecting asks you to confirm, and paddocks already imported stay in Phase.

Below the header, Connection lists the connected account, the selected organisation, the permission manager and the last sync. Active organisation and John Deere access follow, one row each with their state in words. Under Shortcuts, Import fields opens Farms & Fields and Work reconcile opens the Reconcile queue.

Depending on permissions and plan, Phase can help bring in:

John Deere fields are imported from Farms & Fields, not from the Reconcile queue. Reconcile is for completed work after the connection is set up.

When you import John Deere fields, or update a boundary from John Deere, Phase matches each one to a paddock by its John Deere field ID first, then by the same name on the farm it is going into, then by sitting in the same place. It never gives a field to a paddock already linked to a different John Deere field. The review says how each one matched: Same Deere field ID, Same field name or Same boundary and area. The area is set in hectares; a paddock kept in acres has its arable area converted too.

Use More → Data Feeds → John Deere to review completed John Deere work before posting it into Phase records.

Reconcile is where Phase compares completed machine work with planned crop activities, product matches and inventory movements before saving the record. This is a Phase Ultra workflow.

The heading reads Imported work with the season and how many jobs are waiting, and a Data Feeds link at the top goes back to Data Feeds. The queue shows the season chosen in the season selector: a job appears in the season its work dates fall in, and a job with no date always shows. To review older work, switch season.

On a computer, the job list is a narrow column on the left and the selected job opens as a receipt beside it, with room for the product rows. On a phone or narrower tablet, the list fills the screen and a job opens as a panel over it; scroll the panel to reach every product, with the confirm button at the bottom.

Two buttons under the search box work on the whole queue at once. Each shows only when there is something for it to do.

Match N product names lists every different product name John Deere sent on the jobs still waiting, with how many jobs use each one. Different ways of writing the same name (capitals, a hyphen, "Herbicide" on the end) are one row, with the other spellings shown. Pick the Phase product for a name once, tick it and press Save: every waiting job that uses that name links to that product straight away, and so does the next import. Names do not have to match exactly.

When you pick the Phase product for a line on one job, Phase asks on that line whether to use it on the other waiting jobs of the same kind, season and mix, with Use for all N and Just this job. Each job gets the pick as its own, so any one of them can still be changed.

Confirm ready jobs (N) lists the waiting jobs that need nothing more: a paddock, and nothing stopping them. It works from what the search and Filters are showing, so you can do one paddock, one kind of work or one date range at a time. Each row shows the date, paddock, kind of work, products and whether stock will move. Jobs with every product matched start ticked. A job starts un-ticked, with the reason beside it, when a product would post by name only, when something needs checking, when Phase was not sure which plan job it was (Check the plan match first), or when that plan job was already marked done by hand.

Press Confirm N jobs and the ticked jobs are confirmed one after another, exactly as pressing Confirm on each would, up to 100 at a time (Confirm the first 100 of 180). Keep the sheet open until it finishes; Stop after this job halts it cleanly. A job that changed since you looked at the list is left waiting rather than confirmed unseen, and if a job fails the run stops and says which job and why. When a run ends, Back to the list shows the list again as the jobs are now, so nothing more is confirmed until you have looked and confirmed again; that is also how you do the next 100. Every confirmed job can still be undone on its own with Undo confirm.

The top of the receipt shows the Field name and the Deere Mix name, with the date. When Deere sent no mix name, it shows the linked plan name or the job type instead. Underneath:

The Paddock and Plan steps open on the receipt whenever either needs a decision.

Under Match the machine products, each product John Deere reported stays on its own row beside the Phase product it is matched to. The columns are Deere reported, Phase product · match status, Applied rate and Total applied, and the count at the top (for example 3/4 matched) shows how many are matched. On a phone the same details stack on each row.

Each product in a tank mix is listed once, at the rate and total the sprayer actually measured. If the same product was in two different mixes on one job (for example a first and second defoliation pass), it is listed once per mix, because those are two applications. Deere's target or set rates are not listed as extra applied products; a product with a target of zero and 125 kg/ha applied shows once. If an older unconfirmed job still shows a product twice, select that job's season and press Refresh; if a row without a total is still there, use Don't use on it.

An unmatched Deere product can post by name, but it posts unpriced, so its cost is not counted, and it will not move stock or keep linked label details. Its row and the confirm footer say unpriced so it isn't mistaken for free. A total Phase cannot work out stays unknown and never deducts guessed stock.

Each matched product carries its cost into the confirmed job, from the total Deere measured or the total you corrected: at the plan's price when the job matched a planned product, otherwise at Inventory's price. If a price would make a product cost more than $1,000/ha, the plan's cost is used for that product instead. These costs show wherever finished work is totalled, such as Financial Performance's actual cost and gross margin. Jobs confirmed before 30 September 2026 costed only the machine line, with every product at $0; they are not repriced.

Confirming a job records it as completed work, so it needs the Record completed work permission, the same as Mark done. People who can plan but not record work can still review, match and ignore jobs; for them Confirm stays off and says to ask the farm owner.

Before confirming, also review operator, weather, machine values and spray details where they are available. Deduct from inventory is a separate choice, under Stock settings & more options, and is still off by default. If it is off, the completed record posts without stock movements.

Old jobs leave stock alone. If a job was done more than 30 days before a product was first stocked in Phase (its first receipt or stock count), confirming it takes nothing off that product's stock, even with Deduct from inventory on. The 30 days allow for stock dated by an invoice that arrived after the drums were already in use. The job still records what was applied and what it cost, and the stock settings say so, for example "Paddock Clear 450: dated before this product was first stocked (7 Sep 2026), so stock is left alone." It is decided product by product, so one job can take one product off stock and leave another alone. A product with no stock recorded at all behaves as it always did.

Weather on a spray. Confirming a spray job fills in its weather from your weather station nearest the paddock (never a rain gauge): the saved reading closest to the job's start, within half an hour either side. You can change the station, edit the figures or untick Include before confirming. For the weeks before a Weather Underground or DPIRD station was connected, Phase has only a daily summary, so those jobs are left blank for you to fill in; a Davis station keeps its half-hourly history. With no reading within half an hour, the weather is left blank.

While anything still needs attention, the main button reads Review 2 items (or however many) and takes you to the first one. When everything is checked it reads Confirm job and opens Confirm this job?, which lists the products and amounts that will be saved and what happens to stock. Press Save confirmed job. If a save fails, your review choices are kept so you can try again.

If you confirm a seeding job whose seed is a different crop or variety from what the paddock is planned as, Phase asks whether to update the paddock's crop for the season. Update crop changes the paddock's crop, its rotation history and the pass to what was sown; Keep the plan, or closing the question, changes nothing. Only people who can edit crop plans are asked.

Open More details → Machine to review the fleet machine, time on job and optional equipment cost line. Phase may pre-fill running cost per hectare and diesel per hectare from the planned equipment line or the machine record; the review states which source it used. You can choose another machine, change the numbers or turn the cost line off without removing the machine from the completed record.

For tillage, seeding and harvest, also check Deere speed and working depth when supplied. The queue can show a single run's start and finish or a duration spread across several days. Deere measured fuel is not available on Phase's current data licence, so diesel remains the reviewed per-hectare estimate multiplied by worked area.

All queue statuses are shown on the same page. Use the status headings (Ready, Review, Unmatched, Confirmed and Ignored) to move between work that is ready, needs review, has no match, has been confirmed or was ignored. You can also combine related Deere jobs when separate passes belong in one Phase record: open Related Deere jobs on the receipt, tick the other passes and choose Combine … into this job. Combined jobs keep each pass's own spray volume for concentration calculations.

When the same corrected product match applies to other matching jobs, Phase may offer to apply that correction and confirm the selected jobs together. Check every selected job before continuing. Matching jobs keep the paddock and plan activity chosen for the group as other jobs are confirmed, and the jobs confirmed together share the same Deduct from inventory setting as the one you just confirmed. Jobs set to actual-only stay out of group matching. If a batch cannot confirm a job, Phase opens the first failed job and keeps its reason available when you reopen it, and blocked jobs are counted in the result. The Deere mix name appears in the matching view and beside the completed activity in Crop Plan Studio and the paddock sheet.

A confirmed job has an Undo confirm button where Confirm was. It asks first, then deletes the Phase record that confirming created, its product lines, any stock use it posted and the harvest yield it wrote; the paddock's job goes back to outstanding and the Deere job returns to the queue so you can match it properly and confirm again. It works straight away on any confirmed job. If Undo cannot proceed, the message says why, for example no farm-edit permission: undo needs permission to edit the farm, a higher bar than confirming. The job keeps the John Deere date rather than the date you originally planned it for. Clearing a whole season is still More → Organisation → Data & backups → Delete data → Delete work records.

Ignore takes a job out of the queue without recording anything. To bring it back, open it under the Ignored heading: its main button reads Restore job. Tap it and the job goes straight back into the queue, still open, so you can check it and Confirm job as normal, or ignore it again later. Restoring doesn't re-read the job from John Deere; if a restored job looks out of date, select its season and press Refresh.

Check their Record completed work permission first (More → Organisation → Team → ••• on the person → Change role or details). Without it, Confirm stays off and says to ask the farm owner, while they can still review, match and ignore jobs. Advisers on the default access cannot confirm John Deere jobs.

If they have Record completed work and queue changes still do not stay saved, or Confirm fails, contact Phase support. Include the team member's name, Phase farm, affected Deere job, whether it matched an existing planned activity, the exact error and a screenshot. This is a Phase access question rather than a John Deere connection problem: do not disconnect Deere or change the farm's shared Deere organisation unless support confirms that the connection is the cause.

If Phase says a job is already being confirmed on another device, check whether someone else is confirming it. If an earlier attempt on this device stopped part-way (the connection dropped or the phone went to sleep), the job unlocks by itself within 30 minutes and nothing was changed. Confirming needs a connection, an active subscription and a farm that is not read-only; if one of those is missing, Phase says so before it starts.

Both John Deere yield imports are in Yield Centre → Import → From John Deere, and both are Phase Ultra. On Phase Pro they show an Ultra mark and open the upgrade prompt; Pro can still upload a yield-map shapefile.

From mid-August to 13 October 2026, Harvest yields stopped with "Update or refresh Phase before importing John Deere work", and refreshing did not help. That is fixed: reload Phase, or take the update on the phone, and run the import again. No yields came in while it was failing, so there is nothing to clean up.

The figures and the maps are separate imports and can be run in either order. On the review step each row offers Add, Replace or Skip:

A season's yield maps are looked for on every paddock with a harvest that season, not only the paddocks the season lists. A map is only filed on a paddock it actually sits on: if John Deere's paddock of the same name is somewhere else, the map is refused and the paddock shows under On the way from John Deere as Did not finish, with the reason. When a map arrives for a paddock with no yield, John Deere's own figure for that harvest is saved with it; a yield you entered is never changed.

A harvest from John Deere is saved under the crop's own name, so WHEAT_WHITE comes in as Wheat. To combine names saved before 7 October 2026, use Yield Centre → Actions → Combine crops & varieties.

Phase Ultra Spatial can also retrieve John Deere yield maps from its import window. A long-running build may continue on the server and appear later.

Open More → Data Feeds (on a computer, More → Farm Operations → Data Feeds) for a quick view of whether the Deere connection needs attention and how many imported jobs still need a decision. Data Feeds is an inbox and launch point; it does not apply records automatically.

If permissions look correct but data is still missing, contact support with the Deere organisation name, date range, field names and screenshot of the import or Reconcile screen.
