When you are in a template, you will see a button called "Preview." This allows you to switch from editing components and form control questions to previewing how the template will look to respondees.
Switching to Preview Mode
To switch to preview mode, simply click on the Preview button. Your view will change from the editing interface to a preview of what respondees will see when you send them the template as a form. This is a great way to ensure that everything looks and functions as expected before finalizing your template.
Preview Settings
In the preview tab, there are a few settings available on the top right:
Light and Dark Mode Toggle: This toggle allows you to switch between light and dark mode, using the colours set in your theme that you chose to use for this template. This helps you see how the template will look in different modes.
Device Preview Icons: Next to the light and dark mode toggle, you will see a group of three icons: a phone, tablet, and desktop. Click on these icons to preview the form in those formats. This ensures that your template is responsive and looks good on various devices.
Main Preview Area
In the main area, you will see the preview of the template as a respondee will see the form. Use this area when editing the template to ensure the components and form controls look as expected. This is also useful to see how new form control questions look and to test if they work as you expect. Any answers provided to questions in the preview tab will disappear when you navigate away from the preview tab (like navigating to the edit tab or out of the template editor completely).
By using the preview tab, you can make sure that your template is polished and ready for respondees. This step is crucial to catch any issues and make necessary adjustments before sending out the form.
