Web & Mobile Apps
Pinpoint Works has a web app that can be used on desktop and mobile devices directly from the browser.
We recommend Chrome for the best experience with the web app. Safari on macOS or Edge on PC are also suitable. Due to the advanced technology used by our software, other browsers do not support all of the features we offer. Internet Explorer is not supported.
We also have a native mobile app which can be downloaded for iOS and Android from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
There is a limit of 3 devices that can be used with one email to log in to the Web and Mobile Apps. If this number is exceeded, one of the three devices will be automatically logged out, and the user will be allowed to log in on the new device.
Accounts & Sites
Accounts are created by the Pinpoint Works team at this time.
If you need a new site, Admin users can add these with existing site plans.
If you need a new site plan added to your account, please contact your Pinpoint Works account manager or email us.
Excel/CSV File Uploads
We can upload an existing Excel sheet of work list points at an additional charge. The Pinpoint Works site and Excel sheets must mirror one another for the information to be correctly uploaded. For example, standard fields for every site, such as Priority, Status, and Title, must be included in your Excel sheet if they aren't already. If you have additional columns of data in your spreadsheet, these fields must be recreated in your Pinpoint Works site.
Please note that pins on the site plan or general arrangement must be added manually by one of your site’s Admin or Normal users, as do any media files and documents.
Cancelling a Subscription
If you decide not to resubscribe to Pinpoint Works, one Admin user will retain Guest user access to all the sites on the account. This ensures you can still access your data to view, export and download as needed.
Your data will be available for up to 2 years after subscription cancellation.
Servers & Security
Security is one of our top priorities. We host Pinpoint Works on AWS (Amazon Web Service), which is the top cloud-based server provider due to its reliability and strict security tests. AWS data centres undergo annual certifications to ensure they meet the highest standards of physical and virtual security (more details here and here). Clients hosting with AWS include NASA, Netflix, Samsung, and Airbnb.
Points to note:
We keep no financial data on our servers.
The data centre is located in West EU (Ireland) and is backed up every 8 hours.
We have Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certification in place on the pinpointworks.com domain, meaning all data is encrypted between the server and the device (computer or mobile). The specific details of the encryption are 128 / 256 bit and 2048-bit CSR.
Servers
Pinpoint Works is a cloud-based program, and we do not offer a local version for servers on board or on-site. This also means all users will always have the most recent app version with the latest features without needing to update each computer.

We routinely work with non-disclosure agreements. Please contact us if you need one for your project before sending us a site plan or general arrangement.
