We're always improving the Pinpoint Works web and native mobile apps (iOS and Android) for new features, existing feature improvements, security updates, and bug fixes. The web app will be updated once every week or two. Mobile apps will be updated less frequently, and depending on your device’s settings, these updates may happen automatically.
We recommend keeping both web and mobile apps updated to ensure the best performance and access to the latest features. (As a friendly reminder, Chrome is our recommended browser.)

In-Statement Formulas
You can now use an If Statement to define conditional logic in your formulas.
Easily toggle between standard and conditional modes while keeping existing inputs intact.
Use comparison operators like greater than, less than, equals, and more in the logical test field.
📖 Formulas
Easily Show and Hide Custom Fields
If you have access to Site Settings, you are able to toggle the visibility of each custom field in your site.
This will apply to all users with the site access. But don't worry - hidden fields retain their data so nothing is lost if when they're shown again.
New side bar and Favourites Folder
We have improved our side bar to make navigating Sites and Accounts more intuitive. Sites and folders are now clearly separated within the Accounts. Frequently access Sites can now be added to a Favourites folder pinned at the top of the navigation! Clicking the 🌟 icon next to a Site will either add or remove it from Favourites.
Editing Comments
Users can now edit their own comments within 24 hours of submission to correct mistakes. Clicking the "Edit" button opens a text area for changes, and revised comments display an "Edited" label with a tooltip showing the last edit's date and time; comments cannot be left empty.
New Additions to User Management - Bulk Edit Permissions
You can now edit permissions in bulk in User Management. To update a single user’s permissions across multiple sites, update them column by column, while manually updating Accessible Tags and Custom Fields as they vary by site. For multiple users on a single site, bulk-edit permissions column by column.

New Addition to Integration with Voly Projects - Multi-currency Expenditure Tracking
Pinpoint Works now supports multi-currency expenditure tracking through its Voly integration, enabling users to manage costs across different currencies.

New Addition to Formulas - Ability to Import Formulas
You can now import Formulas between sites, with a warning if necessary Custom Fields are missing; Formulas with the same name, output type, and exact definition across sites will be treated as identical in the Overview table, provided they match exactly, including the order.

New Additions to Exports
We've made several enhancements to the export functionality. Specifically the header and footer information.

Updates to 'Suggested Users'
The list of users available for import has been filtered so that Site Admin+ users only see users from sites where they have admin access, excluding others. Additionally, the suggested user dropdown has been removed when adding new users to prevent exposing personal information.
Quick Calculator
With a grey calculator icon, you can now perform calculations directly within the field in number-based Custom Fields. Simply press = to activate the calculator, enter your equation (e.g., 10+2), and press Enter. The result (e.g., 20) will be saved in the field.
Sub-fields
Custom Fields for Cost, Number, and Percentage now support Sub-fields. This enhancement enables users to display a total value alongside detailed components that make up that total.

New Additions to Fleet Management - PDF Export Functionality & Voly Integrated CF's
PDF exports can be created for entire fleets or individual assets. Voly Integrated Cost Custom Fields can be utilised within Fleet Management.

New Additions to the Integration with Voly Projects
Voly Projects now integrate active Expenditure Categories and Cost Centres within Pinpoint Works, allowing seamless data transfer to the Projects table and invoices, reducing errors and duplicate entries.

New Addition to Formulas - Definition Displayed
The definition will be displayed when hovering over a formula's name in the site table's column header, providing a simple reference.

Point Card Display Size
All point cards can now be forced to display at half-screen size, regardless of whether a site plan is available.
Custom Field: Formula
The Custom Field Formula allows users to perform calculations using numbers and basic mathematical operators. Users can define Formulas and choose an output type such as Cost, Number, or Percentage.

Integration with Voly Projects
The Voly Projects Integration links Pinpoint Works points and sites with Voly’s accounting features, making managing budgets, tasks, and payments easier. Users can sync data between the platforms and track project expenses in real-time. Setting it up involves authorizing the connection on both platforms.

Fleet Management
Account Admins can create and manage fleets by grouping selected sites into an "asset", and hosting several assets under one fleet. They can configure assets with cost fields, labels, and custom fields. Fleets can be shared with other users, with the security of knowing that any user viewing a fleet will only ever see data from sites they already have permission to access.

New Cost Custom Field design & currency update
The Cost Custom Field has been updated, and we now support all currencies that Voly supports. The point card will show the 3-letter currency code alongside the currency symbol, so USD $ rather than $, to avoid confusion between Australian dollars and US dollars, for example. Important activities and exports will only show the currency's symbol for simplicity.
Archiving Sites
We can now archive sites. Reach out to your Account Manager, and they'll take care of it for you.
Site Admin
The Admin role has been renamed "Site Admin" to avoid confusion with the new Account Admin role.
Account Admin and User Management
Introducing our new role of "Account Admin." You will have all the access rights that a Site Admin has, plus:
Automatically being added to every site created on the account.
Overview and manage all users on the account. through the User Management feature.

Copy Link to Point
In the three-dot menu of a point card, there is a new option to "copy link to point." This copies a link to the point directly to the clipboard, so you do not have to click into and copy the URL.
Grouping in Excel Exports
Points in the Site List or Overview Table grouped using the "Group By" presentation will now be reflected in Excel exports. If a group collapses, this will be mimicked in exports.
Two-factor Authentication (2FA)
Users can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on their Pinpoint Works account, adding an extra security layer. The code can be sent to their mobile device by SMS or WhatsApp. Choosing "Set up 2FA later" will prompt the 2FA pop-up to reappear after 90 days. 2FA can be set up during Login or in "Profile Settings."

Red Flags
Admin users can assign a Red Flag to a point to make it stand out or increase the priority.
Normal and guest users cannot alter a point's flagged status, but flagging is visible to everyone with access to that point.

Reset Table button
A "Reset Table" button has been added to the site Point list, Overview list, and Timeline. With a single click, Filters, Sorting, Grouping, etc., can be easily disabled.
Renaming of User Settings
"User Settings" has been renamed "Profile Settings" to clarify the functionality in this area.
Excel Exports
Bulk exporting points to XLSX files now ensures that cells are typed to match the Custom Field type. For instance, percentages will export as Excel's percentage type, while currency values will export as Excel's currency type, ensuring compatibility and accuracy.
Point Card Updated Look
The Point Card has a refreshed look on split screen and full screen.
It is visually cleaner and intuitive, as it adds more white space in areas and removes unnecessary elements to make a more cohesive design.
Update Email Address
You can now easily update your email address in User Settings. Once you've chosen a new email, a verification link will be sent to it. Additionally, your old email address will be notified of this change. Account Owners can resend the verification email from User Management, similar to how they can resend invitation emails.

Password Confirmation Email
Upon updating or resetting your password, you will receive a confirmation email verifying the successful change. This is to help keep your login secure.

Saved Views
The Saved Views feature allows you to save your site preferences and create default views on individual sites.
You can choose either or all of the preferences in the table menu (Filters, Sorting, Grouping, Table Columns or Keyword Search) and save them under 'Views'.
You can create your own Views or share them with other users on the site.

Mobile Push Notifications
You will receive a push notification on your mobile app if:
You have been @mentioned as a user in the description box, comment or 'rich text' custom field. Android example below:
You have been assigned to a new or an existing point. iOS example below:
You will be redirected to the corresponding point by tapping on the push notification.
You will not receive push notifications if you are working in the offline mode or receive push notifications you missed while offline when back online.
Enabling Push Notifications
iOS Devices
Go to your device Settings → Notifications → Select Pinpoint Works → Enable notification type.
Android Devices
Go to your device Settings → Notifications & Control Centre → App Notifications → Select Pinpoint Works → Toggle On the notifications.
Liking Comments
You can now like a comment within the mobile app and will receive an in-app notification if your comment is liked.
When a comment has been made by any user, a grey thumbs-up icon outline will appear next to the comment in both the point card and the in-app
notification panel. The thumbs-up symbol turns blue when a comment is liked. If another user has liked the comment, it remains grey with a blue outline.
Enhanced Copy & Move modal
Moving points:
Only Admin users can move points. You must have Admin access on the source site and the destination sites to move points. This is available through the bulk change feature in the floating menu or through the individual point card itself.
Open the point card, then click the 3-vertical dot icon in the top right corner of the point card.
You will have the option to select which of the following point information to copy across - Activities, Comments, Photos, Videos, Files or Description. Once a point has been moved, the point will have a new ID number on the destination site.

Admin and Normal users (no Tags or Advanced Access Level options selected) can copy points within the same site or to another site. Users must have Admin or full Normal access to the source and destination sites. This is available through the bulk change feature in the floating menu or through the individual point card itself.

Multi Grouping
Now, you can create up to three groups, allowing you to group your points by multiple criteria. Maintain better control and categorization of your data without overwhelming complexity.

Grouping by Multiple Criteria
We're introducing a new dropdown feature that enables grouping by more than one condition. Clicking on the "Add Grouping condition" button will display a line labeled "Group by" with two "Select" inputs that can be expanded via dropdowns.
Collapse Groups
Simply hover over a group, and an arrow will appear in the group header. Clicking on the arrow will collapse or expand the group menu.
Total Value Display
To provide better insights, the group header will now include the total value of CFs (Custom Fields) within each group. Stay informed about cumulative values effortlessly.
Per User Subscription limits
We offer Per User and Per Yacht/Project subscriptions to Pinpoint Works. Those with Per User subscriptions will now be given information when the user and site limits are reached on the account.
User limits:
If an Admin user tries to add a user over the limit allowed in their subscription, a pop-up will appear to say you can add new users but will be invoiced for them. You can then add the new user by clicking the ‘Add user’ button. If you do not wish to add this new user click the ‘Cancel’ button on the pop-up.
Note: Up to 10 Guest users per Admin user subscription may be added for free to the account.

Site limits:
A pop-up will be displayed when you have reached the limit for the number of sites which can be added to your account.
Note: All Per User accounts include 10 sites. Additional sites can be purchased separately in groups of 10.

2022
Deleting Sites
Unused sites or sites created in error can now be deleted by Admin users. All points must be deleted or moved from the site before the site can be deleted. This includes Completed and Cancelled points which must be filtered to be seen.
If there are other users on the site, they will be deleted and sent an email notifying them that the site has been deleted.
Once these steps are taken, select ‘Delete site’ from the Site Settings icon to delete the site. Once a site is deleted, this action cannot be undone.
Video Streaming on Web App
Previously all videos had to be fully loaded in the web app before playing them, but can now be streamed instantly depending on your internet connection.
Dashboard Export
Dashboard dashlets can now be exported to their own PDF report. Click the 'more' icon next to the Dashboard header, then select the dashlets to export. The PDF will be downloaded in the browser.
Alternatively, right-click on any dashlet to copy it as an image and paste into other reports as needed.
Timeline Improvement
When points are grouped in the Timeline, click on a point from the left-side list to open the point card and edit details. Clicking on the point in the Timeline calendar will also open the point card.
Highlight Keyword Search in Comments
Searching keywords within the table now highlights the search term within comments. Open the point card from the table to see the searched word highlighted in blue in the Activity section.

Keywords searched in the User Settings page are now highlighted in the user table.
Note: only Admin users have access to the User Settings page.
