How to Buy Cryptocurrency with Bank Transfer

Pionex now supports Bank Transfer with EUR and BRL currencies. In order to use Bank Transfer, you will need to complete Level 2 verification (KYC2).

Web operation step

Step 1: Click on the top navigation [Buy Crypto - Bank Transfer] to enter the Express page.

Step 2:
1. Select the fiat currency you want to pay with.
2. Enter the amount you want to pay.
3. Click [Deposit].

Step 3: You will be redirected to the merchant payment website. Once you have completed the payment, an order ID will be created.
*Please make sure that you have used your own Bank Account that is completely the same name as your Pionex KYC information to complete the order. Failure to do so will result in rejected payment, and your funds will be refunded by the merchant.

Step 4: Once the order has been created, the merchant will review it manually and deposit the crypto to your account within 7 business days.

APP operation step

Step 1: Click [Pionex] – [More] and go to the “Deposit & Withdrawal” category. Then click [Buy] and select [Bank Transfer].

Important Notes

  • If you have selected an EUR currency deposit using Bank Transfer, the completed transaction is subject to a T+10-day withdrawal restriction.

  • If you have selected a BRL currency deposit using Bank Transfer, the completed transaction is subject to a T+14-day withdrawal restriction.

  • For any amount in your Primary Account that is more than the total amount you have bought in the past T+N days, you may still withdraw it as normal.

  • Please be informed that transferring funds to the Pionex Card is also considered a withdrawal.


FAQ

Q: Can I deposit via PIX (Brazil)?

A: Yes. You can purchase cryptocurrency using Brazilian Real (BRL) and select BetCatPay as your payment channel.

Q: Can I reduce the waiting period for withdrawals after buying crypto with fiat?

A: No. This restriction is in place for compliance and security reasons and cannot be waived.

Q: Can someone else pay for my crypto purchase using their bank account?

A: No. Fiat purchases are only permitted using a bank account that matches the name on your Pionex KYC verification.

Q: Why is my card deposit showing "Processing" and not completing?

A: There are two common reasons:

  1. Your bank declined the payment — Please contact your bank directly for assistance. If your bank confirms the charge went through, request a fiat transfer proof and share it with us. We will follow up with our third-party payment provider on your behalf.

  2. Our third-party provider requires additional information — They will contact you by email with further instructions. Please check your inbox.

Q: Why did my bank transfer deposit fail?

A: Payment failures are typically triggered on the bank's end. Please check the following:

  1. Bank policy — Some banks restrict cryptocurrency-related transactions. We recommend contacting your bank to authorise such payments.

  2. Third-party provider rejection — The provider may reject a transaction due to age restrictions, a name mismatch, or exceeding purchase limits.

Q: Why did I receive significantly less cryptocurrency than expected after my bank transfer purchase?

A: In addition to the third-party provider's processing fee and on-chain transfer fee, your card issuer may charge foreign exchange fees and cross-border transaction fees. These bank-side charges vary by issuer and cannot be estimated in advance by Pionex.

Q: What is the difference in fiat purchase limits between KYC Level 1 and KYC Level 2?

A: All fiat deposit and withdrawal services on Pionex require KYC Level 2 verification. Users with only KYC Level 1 are not eligible for fiat services. We recommend completing KYC Level 2, or using cryptocurrency deposits as an alternative.

Q: If a deposit fails and a refund is issued, how long will it take?

A: Refunds involve multiple parties and processing times can vary. Once the refund is confirmed, please allow up to 7 business days to receive it. If you have not received the refund within that timeframe, please contact our customer support team.

Q: I am not from Europe or Brazil, and am not able to transfer EUR and BRL. How can I transfer?

A: We suggest you use Express or a third-party method to deposit fiat, which uses a card instead of a bank transfer.
