Understanding Customer's Names

When Pixlmob initially launched, we chose to only display the 1st word of the customer's company to vendors on the platform. For example, if a company's name was North 7th, the vendor would only see North listed as the name for the customer on an order.

In order to provide additional clarity and to prepare for upcoming features we intend to add to the platform soon, we have decided to change how customers' names are displayed to vendors. Starting 4/29/2025, vendors will now see the individual's first name instead of the first word of the company's name. For example, prior to this date, vendors would see North for North 7th; after this date, vendors will see Brad instead of North since Brad is the 1st name of the user associated with that company on the Pixlmob platform.

To minimize any confusion during this transition, we will temporarily display the customer's first name followed by a note stating was name was formerly displayed. In the example we've used above, vendors will temporarily see "Brad (formerly North)." This should assist vendors who have long-standing relationships with the customers recognize them and update their internal records accordingly.

Pro-tip: It is always best to address a customer by his name and to avoid using terms like bro, sir/ma'am, or boss.
