PLAI doesn't charge your club a monthly or annual subscription. Instead, PLAI takes a small, transparent fee only when a payment actually happens, such as a membership payment, an event fee, or a shop order.
Why PLAI is subscription free
Unlike traditional club management tools, PLAI never charges a recurring subscription fee. There's no contract and no commitment. PLAI only earns anything when your club takes a payment, so PLAI succeeds only if your club does too.
Note: Because there's no subscription, there's no cost to your club for simply having a PLAI account, adding members, running events, or using any other feature. Fees only apply to actual payments processed through the app.
How a payment moves through PLAI
Every payment made through PLAI, whether it's a membership, an event fee, a facility booking, or a shop order, follows the same 4 step flow:
A player or parent pays a fee through PLAI.
Stripe, PLAI's payment processing partner, manages and encrypts the payment in full.
PLAI takes a small fee for its services.
The remaining balance is sent to your club immediately.
What makes up the total fee
Each transaction fee has 2 parts, combined into a single total shown transparently at checkout:
Stripe's processing fee. This covers the cost of securely handling and encrypting the payment, and varies slightly by country and currency.
PLAI's service fee. This is PLAI's small cut for running the platform, and is added on top of Stripe's fee.
Both parts are shown together as one combined rate, so there are never any hidden costs. The exact combined rate depends on your club's country, since Stripe's own processing costs vary by region.

Will my fees ever go up?
No. As PLAI grows, it negotiates better rates with Stripe. When PLAI's costs come down, so do the fees your club and members pay. Fees don't increase.
Does PLAI charge extra on top of what I see at checkout?
No. The fee shown at checkout is the full, final amount. There are no additional or hidden charges.
