Once a Group has more than a handful of members, finding one by scrolling gets slow. Search narrows the list by name, and Filter & Sort lets you narrow and reorder it by gender or membership status too.
Search for a member
On the Group's detail screen, tap the search bar (placeholder: "Search members...").
Type at least 2 characters. Searching doesn't start until the second character, so short queries won't trigger anything yet.
The list filters in real time to any member whose first or last name contains your search, from anywhere in the name, not just the start.
Tap a result to open that member's profile, or tap the × to clear your search and restore the full list.
Filter and sort the member list
Tap the filter and sort icon next to the search bar. The Filter & Sort sheet slides up with three rows: Sort by, Gender, and Membership Status, each showing your current selection as a summary (for example, "First Name: A – Z" or "All Genders").
Tap Sort by to choose one option: First Name, Last Name, or Membership Status, each available A-Z or Z-A. Only one sort can be active at a time.
Tap Gender to select one or more of: Female, Male, Unknown.
Tap Membership Status to select one or more of: Active, Trial, Expired, Overdue, Cancelled, Banned.
Tap Apply Filters to close the sheet and update the member list.
Selecting multiple Gender or Membership Status options shows members matching any of them. If both filters are active at once, results must match the selected gender and the selected status. Search and filters work together too, so a search query and active filters apply at the same time.
Tap Clear Filters to reset all three categories back to their defaults (First Name A-Z, All Genders, All Members).
Note: Filters and sorting are session-scoped, they reset to default the next time you open this Group.
FAQ
Why isn't my search finding anyone?
Search needs at least 2 characters and only matches member names, not their relationship label or status.
What if no one matches my filters?
You'll see: "No members match the selected filters," with a Clear Filters option to reset and start over.
If I select every Membership Status option, does that show everyone?
Yes, selecting all 6 statuses is equivalent to no filter at all, since nothing gets excluded.
