How to Create, Publish, or Schedule an Article

Learn how to write a club article, add a cover image, choose who sees it, and either publish it right away or schedule it for later.

Club admins and group admins can write and publish articles to keep members updated. Group admins can only publish to their own groups. Club admins can publish to any group in the club.

Write your article

  1. From the Articles tab, tap + Create an Article.

  2. Add a cover image if you want one. It is optional, and you can crop it or tap Change Image to swap it before moving on.

  3. Write your article in the text editor. You can use basic formatting and add images inline.

Note: Your article body must be between 100 and 5000 words. You can't publish with an empty body.

4. Tap Next.

Review and choose your audience

  1. On the Final Check screen, you'll see a full preview of your article exactly as members will see it. Tap the edit icon to go back and make changes.

  2. Tap select audience to choose which group or groups the article goes to. Club admins see every group in the club; group admins only see their own groups.

Important: You must select at least one group. Next stays disabled until you do.

Choose your settings

  1. On the Article Settings screen, set these toggles:

  • Send as email only (off by default). Turning this on sends the article by email only. It won't appear in the app feed, and it greys out all the other toggles below.

  • Send an email notification (on by default). Emails the selected groups that a new article is live.

  • Send a push notification (on by default). Sends a push notification to the selected groups.

  • Allow comments (on by default). Lets members comment on the article. Turn this off and the comments section is locked for everyone.

Publish now, or schedule for later

  1. To publish right away, tap Publish Article. Your article goes live immediately and appears in the Articles feed.

  2. To publish later instead, toggle Schedule Later on. Pick a future date and time. The button changes to Schedule Article. Your scheduled date and time must be in the future, and there's no limit on how far ahead you can schedule.

Tip: You can leave at any point and tap Save as Draft in the header. Everything you've entered, including your audience and settings, is saved and ready to pick back up from Drafts.

FAQ

Can I change the settings after I schedule an article?

No. Whatever you configure at the time of scheduling is what applies when it publishes. To change anything, open it from Drafts and edit it before the scheduled time.

What happens if I turn on "Send as email only"?

Your article is delivered by email to the selected groups only. It does not appear in the app's Articles feed, and the email notification, push notification, and comments toggles are all disabled while it's on.
