How to Deactivate a Group Chat

Learn how club admins can retire a group chat while keeping its full history available for review.

Deactivating a group chat stops members from sending new messages in it, while keeping the entire message history intact for admins to review later.

Deactivate a chat

  1. Open the chat menu on the group chat.

  2. Toggle Deactivate Chat on.

  3. Confirm when prompted.

Members immediately lose the ability to send messages, and the chat disappears from their active chat list. Admins can still view the chat and its full history.

Note: This option is only available to club admins.

Reactivate a chat

Admins can find deactivated chats in their own chat list, open one, and toggle it back to active. Members regain full access as soon as it's reactivated.
