Exit a group chat
Open the chat menu on the group chat.
Tap Exit Group Chat. This option shows in red since it's a destructive action.
Confirm on the modal that says: "Are you sure? By exiting this group, you will no longer be able to view, send or receive messages within this group…"
Once confirmed, you're removed immediately. The chat disappears from your active chat list and you'll see a toast that reads "You have left the Group Chat 👋". You can no longer view, send, or receive messages there unless an admin adds you back.
Important: You can only exit a group chat that was created manually, called a non-synced chat. You can't exit a chat that's synced to a club group, since your membership there follows your group membership automatically.
If you're the only admin
If you're the sole admin of a group chat, you'll need to assign another admin before you can exit. The exit is blocked until you do.

How do I leave a synced group chat?
You can't exit it directly. Your membership in a synced chat mirrors your membership in the club group it's tied to, so leaving the group is what removes you from the chat.
Can I rejoin a chat after exiting?
Only if an admin adds you back. Exiting is permanent from your side otherwise.
