If you provide meals with some or all of your tours, or included meals with any other activity, you can use the Pack Meal feature to keep track of that and give the kitchen a list of meals to prepare.

Admin: Settings

In Admin Settings you'll be able to add as many Pack Meal options as you like.

Open Admin Settings > Pack Meals

Click "+ Add New Pack Meal" or click on an existing one to edit it.

On this screen, you'll see:

  • Pack Meal Name (required). Short name for the kitchen

  • Provider. Is there a default provider? Normally it's your restaurant kitchen, but you may use someone else for some of all of your Pack Meals

  • Contents (required). What's included in the pack?

  • Allergens. Are there any ingredients in the food that can cause an allergic reaction?

  • Notes. Is there anything else about the Pack Meal that should be communicated? For example, packaging?

When you fill out the above information, then save it and you will see it on the list. It will now be available as a selection when adding an activity for a guest.

Resources - Assign pack meals to activities

STEP 1 - Indicate the activity & each operator where you'll normally send along a Pack Meal

(toggle switch should be on)

STEP 2 - Select the default Pack Meal from the dropdown list.

You'll be selecting from the Pack Meals that were created in Admin Settings > Pack Meals

STEP 3 - Review

You can filter by Pack Meals in the Type dropdown. Any activity where Pack Meals are activated will be indicated with a knife and fork symbol on the far left of the list. Remember to activate Pack Meal for any resource providing a particular activity if your hotel is responsible for sending the meal along.

Front Desk / Concierge: Using Pack Meals

Selecting a Pack Meal on an activity that you're booking for a guest

STEP 1 - Create a new activity or open an existing one

STEP 2 - Find the "Pack Meal" input selector

STEP 3 - Select the Pack Meal you want to send with the guest

STEP 4 - Customize any special instructions

Add or customize instructions regarding packaging, where to deliver or store the Pack Meal when it's ready, etc. Remember that if you include those special instructions when you set up the Pack Meals in Admin Settings, they will appear automatically here.

Pack Meals on Kitchen Report

Once the pack meal has been assigned on an activity, it will appear on the Kitchen Report. You'll see any Pack Meals listed next to the guest's name, and then on the bottom of the report you'll see a summary of the total Pack Meals needed, as well as who is responsible for making them.

When you click on the Pack Meal on the Kitchen Report, you'll see the full pack description including what goes in the pack, and other details.
