Accessing the application form
Once you have a plinth login, you will be able to fill out application forms, save and revisit at any time.
You can either access the form via a link shared with you. Or, when logging in to plinth, you will also see a prompt on the homepage reminding you of any unfinished forms, which you can press that will send you through to the form.
Answering Questions
The first page of the form will show a cover page with key information. Once you have read and understand the information, click the blue 'Next' button to begin answering questions.
When you arrive at the form, questions will be broken in to sections. You will see all the sections of the form at the top of the page . You are able to jump between these sections by clicking on the titles of the sections.
3. The questions themselves are in bold, and any additional information about the question, will be in a lighter text underneath.
4. For questions that are required and must be answered to progress, you will see marked with a red star * like so:
5. There are a range of different types of questions you may be asked, most are a text box and are open for you to type in your answers.
6. Some questions will have a larger text box, this allows you to write a long form answer and gives you more space to use. In these larger text boxes, it will also show you a rolling word count of what you have written in the bottom right corner, underneath the box, like so:
7. Some questions are checkboxes, in these instances, instructions will tell you if you need to click one, or multiple. All you need to do here is to click on the boxes which apply to you, and you will see them filled in with a blue checkmark. If you wish to uncheck the box, all you need to do is click on the box again and the checkmark will disappear.
Here is what that will look like:
8. The last type of question you will see, will be asking you to upload. One the application form you may see a prompt asking you to upload a file. In this case, all you will have to do is click on that button, while will bring up your own computer's finder. In the finder, you just have to find the relevant document and click to select and upload.
When you have uploaded the document(s) in question, you will see them shown below the upload button. If you wish to remove the document for any reason, you just need hover over the attachment to click the little rubbish bin next to it and this will remove the upload.
Saving and returning
When you have filled out some of the form and wish to save your progress, all you have to do is click the 'Save for Later' button at the bottom of the form, and this will save your progress exactly as it is.
If you leave the page after making changes, and don't click the Save button, you will loose any changes or progress made.
To return to your application at a later point to see your answers and update, you can find the form in one of two ways:
Using the form link shared with you
On the front page of plinth, on your dashboard you will see a button telling you about any unfinished forms, if you click this, it will direct you back to the form
Submitting your form
Once you have completed your answers and wish to submit, you should go to the submission section of the form.
At this section you will find the blue Submit button, this will send share all of your answers through to the accessors. We recommend only submitting when you have finalised everything, if you think you may make further changes, we suggested saving and coming back, until you're sure.
*Important* If your application form had a deadline, you can change and resubmit up until the deadline, but not after. If you try and change after the final deadline has passed, it will not go through.
Once you have submitted, you will get a confirmation screen with a message confirming your submission was sent.
And that's it! You're all set!
If you have any questions about completing application forms on plinth, please don't hesitate to use the chat function to ask any questions, you'll find that via the purple circle in the bottom right hand corner.
