When you click to request a volunteer, you will go through a few steps to ensure all the correct details are included in your adverts and to make sure you can be contacted.

Create an account

The first thing you will be asked to do is to create an account. This is so you can go back on and view the volunteers found as well as make further requests. You won't be asked to do this if you already have an account.

First, you will be asked for an email address and password. This is important as this is the email address that you will be contacted with for any questions about your request.

You will then be asked if your organisation is a registered charity. This is not mandatory, but if you are, we can pull in some of your details from the charity commission.

Once you have done this you will be asked to add any extra staff who will need access. You don't need to add their details right now, as you can always do that later (as this article explains).

If you are interested in finding out more about plinth, or have any questions, you can book a time to have a zoom call.

Requesting Volunteers

The next step is to complete a form detailing what your volunteer requirements are. The questions on this form will depend on who you are requesting your volunteers from.

Once you have completed the form, you will see your request. It will also be under "Volunteer Requests" on the left hand side. You can edit the request here too.

Viewing the advert

The request is then reviewed by whoever is in charge of the volunteer pool. At this point the request will be reviewed. Once it has been reviewed, you will be able to go back to the request and see the role advert.

Volunteers will then check out your advert and if they like it will register their interest.

When sufficient volunteers have shown interest, you will be notified on the email you signed up with. This will include a link to the shortlist of volunteers.

The list of volunteers for the role will also be shown on your plinth dashboard.

Reviewing the shortlisted volunteers

When you see all of the volunteers that have registered their interest. You can view their profile, by clicking on their names or the "View" button.

When you are on their profile, you can send them an application form to be completed or leave notes or move them to the next status of the vetting process. Alternatively, you can download them, or add them to your own plinth.
