Release Notes [September 2024]: Updated information on probiotics and a sneak peek at a new feature
Updated over a month ago

Hi from the Plumb's team! Each month, we share these notes to keep you informed about all the updates happening behind the scenes at Plumb's. You'll find information on new and updated content, feature enhancements, functionality improvements, bug fixes, and more.

Here’s a roundup of key updates from September.

Content Updates

The following updates cover content in Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs (prescribing information only) and Plumb’s Pro (diagnostic and treatment information + prescribing information).

Our editorial team has been hard at work this month with our extensive network of board-certified specialists and peer reviewers to release new Dx & Tx monographs (Pro), provide crucial updates on drugs, and get new handouts into your hands for clients.

Treating antibiotic-related diarrhea, acute gastroenteritis, or chronic enteropathy? You’re probably grabbing a probiotic from your pharmacy shelf.

But which commercially available probiotic products have published evidence to back them up? How long does it take to decide if probiotics are working?

Feature & Functionality Updates

Coming soon: A new tool in the Plumb’s Pro clinical suite

We are so excited to announce that a new Plumb’s Pro feature is going live this month!

DDx is a differential diagnosis tool that makes identifying (and eliminating) differentials simpler. You’ll be able to search by clinical sign for expert-written, peer-reviewed lists of differentials. At launch, this feature will cover over 245 topics, from behavior and cardiology to emergency/critical care and internal medicine.

Whether you’re dealing with routine care or rare conditions, DDx can help accelerate the diagnostic process, so you can arrive at accurate conclusions faster.

Watch your email for updates! We’ll let you know as soon as it’s live.
