Versioning is the safety net under your whole catalog. Every room, setup, service and add-on is versioned, so when you change a price or rename something, you are creating a new version rather than rewriting history. It is the reason you can experiment with pricing without dreading what it does to old invoices.
🛡 How it works
When you edit a catalog item, Podyx stores a new version and leaves the previous one intact. Any booking or invoice that already exists stays attached to the version that was live at the time it was made.
So if a client booked at last year's rate, their invoice still shows last year's rate. Forever. No retroactive edits, no awkward conversations, no accounting mismatch.
👁 Order, show and hide
Sort order. Control the sequence clients see, and lead with what you most want to sell.
Active or inactive. Take something off sale without deleting it, then bring it back whenever you like.
🗄 Archive rather than delete
Archiving retires an item while keeping its full history, and you can restore it at any point. Podyx does not hard-delete your catalog, which means a service you retired two years ago is still explicable if an old invoice ever comes up in an audit.
💡 Reach for inactive when something is coming back, and archive when it probably is not. Neither one loses you anything.
🧠 Why it matters
You can change prices without fear, which is the whole point of having pricing tools.
Your records stay accurate, and an old invoice always shows what was actually paid.
Seasonal offers are easy, because deactivating is reversible.
Nothing is ever truly lost, so cleaning up your catalog carries no risk.
✅ Summary
Edit your catalog freely. New versions are created behind the scenes, existing bookings and invoices keep their original terms, and anything you retire can be reactivated or restored. Use sort order to merchandise, inactive for pauses, and archive for retirement.
