Who this is for: studio operators setting up a new studio · Product: Podyx V2

There is a natural order to setting up Podyx, and following it means your booking page comes together cleanly the first time, with no backtracking. Here is the path.

🧱 The setup order

  1. Studio details. Settings → General: name, language, contact, address. Set your currency and tax (Settings → Payment) before pricing anything.

  2. Rooms. Add each physical space and connect its calendar. A room can hold several setups, and the moment one is booked it locks the whole room for that slot, so you never sell a space twice.

  3. Base services. Your core offering, usually the rental of the space itself (think of an airline ticket). Price them lean if you like; you will earn the margin on add-ons.

  4. Setups. The scenes clients actually book. A setup pairs a room with the base services and add-ons on offer, and it is what makes a service bookable. No setup, and nothing shows to clients.

  5. Availability. Set weekly hours per room, plus buffer and cutoff (Settings → Booking).

  6. Payments. Settings → Payment: connect Stripe or Square, or enable cash and Pay Later.

  7. Branding and landing page. Match your existing website (logo, colors, fonts) so the jump from your site into booking feels seamless and clients never feel they have left your brand.

  8. Test and share. Open Go to Booking Page, make a test booking, then share your link.

🧠 Why the order matters

Each step builds on the last. Rooms hold setups, setups make services bookable, and availability and payments turn them into real, paid bookings. Skip ahead and you usually loop back. Follow the order and it flows, which gets you to your first booking faster.

⚠️ Things to double-check

  • Every service is linked to a setup and set to Active.

  • Availability is published for the rooms you want bookable.

  • A payment method is connected (unless you are cash only).

✅ Summary

Rooms, then services, then setups, then availability, payments, and branding, then test. Follow the order and your studio is live and bookable in one clean pass.
