Setting up in the right order saves a surprising amount of rework, because several things in Podyx cannot exist until the thing they attach to exists. Work down this list and nothing will be waiting on anything else.
🛠 The setup order
1. Studio profile. Name, address, contact details, website, plus your tax rate and VAT handling.
2. Rooms. One for each physical space, with its address and map preview.
3. Setups. Every way each room can be arranged and sold, with good photos.
4. Base services, then additional services. Link them to the right setups or they will not appear.
5. Availability and booking rules. Weekly hours, buffer, cutoff, minimum and maximum duration.
6. Payments. Connect Stripe, Square or Pay Later, and set your currency.
7. Branding and landing page. Colors, fonts, logo, hero image, section order.
8. Notifications. Edit the system emails and add a reminder and follow-up.
9. Google Calendar. Connect one calendar per room.
10. A test booking. Book yourself, end to end, and pay for it.
11. Your team. Invite people and assign roles once the studio works.
🧪 Do not skip the test booking
Book a real session as a customer would, pay for it, then refund it. In ten minutes you will see your confirmation page, your emails, your invoice and your calendar entry exactly as a client sees them. It is the fastest way to catch a missing map, an unbranded email or a tax setting that reads wrong.
💡 Almost every setup problem studios report would have been caught by one test booking.
⏭ What can wait
Bundles, subscriptions, dynamic pricing, promo codes and collaboration are all valuable, and none of them need to exist on day one. Get bookings working first, then add the revenue tools once real sessions are flowing.
