Rooms are your physical spaces. Setups are the versions of that space clients actually see and book. Think of a setup as a scene inside a room: same four walls, different look, different kit, different price. One room can hold several setups, which is how you sell the same square meters three different ways.

🎬 Several setups, one room
Give each configuration its own name and identity. A single studio might offer a warm two-chair interview scene, a stripped-back solo desk, and a wide multi-cam stage. To a client these are three different products. To you they are one room you already pay rent on.
🛠 What you configure on a setup
Name and description. This is customer-facing, unlike the room name.
Room assignment. Which physical space it belongs to.
Number of seats. How many people the scene holds.
Images. The single biggest driver of whether someone books.
Session length by day. A minimum and maximum session length per weekday, for this setup only.
Active or inactive.
Embeddable on your own website.
📸 Photo order matters more than you think
Clients are trying to picture their session before they pay for it, so help them:
First image: a wide shot of the full set, so they get the vibe of the space.
Second image: the camera's point of view, so they can imagine their finished video.
💡 That second shot does most of the selling. It answers the real question, which is "what will my content look like."
🔒 Remember the room rule
If any setup in a room is booked for a time slot, the other setups in that room close for that slot. The room is one shared inventory pool. This is what lets you list several setups without ever selling the same space twice.
⏱ Session length by day
Each setup has a Session length by day block, where you set a minimum and a maximum session length for every weekday. It is the most specific of three levels: studio-wide (set on Availability), then room, then setup. A day you leave blank inherits from the level above, so you only fill in the days where this setup genuinely differs.
The setup level is for a configuration that needs a longer minimum than the rest of the room. A full band recording setup is not worth booking for 30 minutes, so give it a two-hour minimum while the simpler setups in the same room stay bookable in short slots.
⚠️ The stricter enforcement that comes with weekday rules is off by default and switched on per studio on request. Setting rules does not by itself tighten anything, and no existing bookings change when this is deployed.
⚠️ Saving warns you when a rule would leave a setup with no bookable length at all, for example a setup minimum that is longer than the day's maximum. Read that warning rather than clicking past it, because a setup in that state cannot be booked.

🎯 Tie services and add-ons to the setup
Base services and additional services will not appear in the booking flow unless they are tied to that setup. The setup decides what a client sees. This is deliberate and useful: an LED screen add-on can be offered on the setup that actually has an LED screen, and hidden everywhere else, so nobody buys something you cannot deliver in that scene.
⚠️ If a service is missing from the booking flow, an unlinked setup is almost always why.
If you try to link a service, add-on or room that belongs to a different studio, the setup form now tells you so with a clear error instead of failing in a way you have to guess at. Minimum session duration is also capped at 1,440 minutes (24 hours).

Create a setup for every distinct way you can arrange a room. Give each one a strong name, a wide shot, a camera-POV shot, and the services and add-ons that genuinely work in that scene. Set session length by day only where this setup needs a tighter minimum than the room, leaving blank days to inherit, and remember that stricter enforcement is switched on per studio on request. The room quietly protects your availability while the setups do the selling.
