What's a dashboard?
Dashboards are pages you build in Polar that contain whatever data visualisations you like. You can use these for ad-hoc investigations, or regular reporting, and you can also send elements from these pages on a recurring schedule via email or Slack.
What content can a dashboard contain?
Dashboards can contain the following types of content:
Key Indicator Sections β These are grids of metrics that you want to keep a close eye on. They also support targets to help you monitor progress.
Tables/Charts β Also known as Custom Reports, these are data visualisations you compose with metrics, dimensions, date granularities and filters.
How do you create a dashboard?
Click the "+" button at the top of the menu, or next to an existing Folder, and choose Create dashboard.
How do you add content to a dashboard?
Click the "+ Add block to dashboard" button in the header when you're viewing a dashboard.
How can you organize dashboards?
Dashboards live inside Folders in the top section of your main menu. We recommend to use folders to group related dashboards and visualisations together. You can:
rename dashboards and folders
move blocks between dashboards in the same folder
move dashboards between folders
NOTE: If you want to use the same dashboard with different filters applied, create Views instead of duplicating it. This will avoid maintaining multiple copies.
What are the visibility and editing rights of dashboards?
All folders and dashboards are visible to all active users of your workspace. Users with "Viewer" role can view, but not edit folders or dashboards.
Sending dashboards by email or slack
