If you'd like to receive automated, customized reports from Polar on an ongoing cadence, you can create Schedules directly from the Key Indicators tab or Custom Reports, to fully customize the reports sent directly to your email or Slack. The Schedules feature allows you to customize:
Which information is included in your reports
Where your reports are sent
When, and how often, your reports are sent
Who receives your reports
How many reports do you receive (spoiler: you can set up as many Schedules as you'd like!)
How-To: Create and Edit Schedules
Step 1. (Optional) Connect to Slack
If you use Slack, start by connecting your Slack account in your Settings. Once this is done, you can enable a default report from there.
Step 2. Create a Schedule
To set up your first Schedule, navigate to the Key Indicators tab and select the « + » next to the Schedules button. You will get a pop-up window where you can customize each aspect of your report.
Step 3. Customize your Schedule
Now it's time to customize your Schedule so that you only receive the data that you need, how you need it, and when you need it!
Name your report
Choose the Key Indicators and/or Custom Reports you want to include in your Schedule
Choose the sections you'd like to be included in your report
Select the date range - do you want the data from yesterday, last week, last month, or a relative time range? You can also pick a granuality of your Custom Reports
Choose if you want to see a comparison and if you want to apply any View
Choose a frequency - how often and at what time you want to receive the Schedules. You can also adjust the Timezone
Decide how you want to receive the reports: email or Slack (or both)! You can add as many email recipients as you want - even emails of people who are not Polar users. You can also customize the subject and body of the email once you add a user. Keep in mind that Schedules differ from your default daily report in that the default daily email is sent to all the people who have access to the account (but it’s not customizable), whereas Schedules can be sent to whomever you'd like.
You can also add a description and a title of the Schedule
Finish & schedule your report by selecting the "Schedule" button - and enjoy!
Step 4. Edit, Duplicate, and Delete Schedules
If you ever need to edit, duplicate, or delete your Schedules, navigate to the Schedules dropdown within your Key Indicators tab and click the three dots to find the options menu.
Schedules FAQs:
Can I change the Slack channel associated with my Schedules?
Yes! To change the Slack channel where your snapshots are sent, you'll simply need to uninstall Slack in your settings, and then install it again with the new Slack domain.
Can I add Targets to Schedules? At this time, Targets are only available within your Key Indicators tab, and can't be added to automated Schedules.
