Use Polar MCP in Claude

Connect Polar Analytics to Claude using Polar MCP to query your workspace data and analyze metrics with natural-language prompts directly from Claude.

This article explains how to connect Polar Analytics to Claude using the Polar MCP (Model Connection Protocol) so you can query your Polar data with natural language. By setting up the Polar MCP server in Claude, you can securely access your workspace data and ask questions about metrics like revenue, marketing performance, and customer behavior without needing to write SQL or navigate dashboards. This guide walks through the setup process and shows how to start using Claude to explore your Polar data.

Overview

This guide walks through connecting the Polar AI Data Analyst to Claude and using it to generate business insights. The process has two parts:

  1. Adding Polar AI Data Analyst as a connector – once configured, Claude can access your Polar Analytics account.

  2. Using the integration in Claude – you can pull summaries, metrics and reports directly into a Claude conversation.

1. Add the Polar connector

Go to claude.ai or Claude Desktop > Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector

On team plans, do this on the Organization connectors tab (you need to be Workspace Owner or Primary Owner in Claude Team to be able to setup MCP connectors).

If someone from your team has already installed Polar MCP on Claude, it will appear in the list of connectors. You only need to enable it.

2. Enter MCP details

Name: Polar

Remote MCP Server URL: https://api.polaranalytics.com/mcp

3. Connect the new Polar connector

Team plans: switch to Your connectors to do this

4. Sign up to Polar (or sign in if you already have an account)

5. Allow Claude to access your Polar data

6. If you’re new to Polar, you’ll be asked to connect some data sources.

7. Wait for email confirmation that at least one data source has synced

The initial historical data sync can take up to 24 hours for new Polar customers.

8. Start a new chat and make sure the Polar connector is enabled in Claude

9. Allow the tools to run the first time

1. Download the .dxt file and run it

Download this file:

Double-click it to open in Claude.

  • If it doesn’t open:

    Go to Extensions > Advanced Settings

  • Click “Install extension” and choose for the .dxt file you downloaded.

2. Click install to add Polar to Claude

3. Click install again to validate the installation

4. Add you Polar API key
