How can I connect Criteo to my account?

Before setting up a connector, you'll need to ensure that your source already has data on it so that Polar can pull insights into the app.

From there, start by going to your Connector's page and looking for Criteo.

Before you click on Connect, you need to create a Client ID and Client Secret on Criteo Developers.

To do that, follow the instructions below:

In the process, Criteo will automatically generate a file and download it to your computer, don't delete it: you will need it for Client ID and Client Secret.

  1. Log in to Criteo Developers or create an account if you don't have one yet

  2. Create your organization and add a new app

  3. Pick Client Credentials as your authentication method

  4. Name your app. Adding a description and image is optional.

  5. In the App Credentials section, click "Create new key" to get your app credentials. NOTE: The file with the Client ID and Client Secret will only be used once

  6. Choose the Service, Marketing Solutions, and click Save.

  7. In the Authorization section, change the required access level from “No Access” to “Read” everywhere and click Save.

  8. Scroll to the top of the page and click Activate app.

  9. Click on Generate New Url copy the generated consent URL link and navigate to the link in your browser. You need to consent to give access to your Criteo marketing account. If it doesn’t work, you need to send the link to your account administrator.

  10. Input “Client ID” & “Client Secret” in Polar Analytics Criteo Connector. You can find the “Client ID” & “Client Secret” in the file that was automatically downloaded in the 4th step of the process.

Then, just wait for the data to load :)
