There are two different ways that you can gain insight into your inventory data in Polar Analytics. Before you can access your inventory data, you'll need to ensure that you've successfully connected your Shopify store to Polar on the Connectors tab, and that you have inventory data flowing into Shopify.
From there, you can access inventory data in Polar from:
Your "Current Inventory" table
Within your Products tab, you can utilize the "Current Inventory" table to view the estimated out of stock date based on the lookback days you have set. This table displays the estimated days to zero and out of stock date by taking the average quantity sold per day for a product (which is determined by the number of lookback days selected and rounded to the nearest integer).
If you'd like, you can filter your Products tables by "Status" - this will enable you to see inventory by Product Status (such as active, draft, null, or archived).
Your Custom Reports
Within Custom Reports, you can create a report pulling in the "Current Inventory Quantity (Snapshot)" metric to see a current snapshot of your inventory. This metric includes a view of what your Shopify inventory as of yesterday. Keep in mind that this data is not live-updated, and is synced each day with the previous day's inventory data. This metric also does not include historical data (so adjusting the date range does not impact the data).
For example, if you take a look at the two reports below, you can see that the inventory data stays exactly the same (even though the first report's date range is set to the last 100 days, and the second report's date range is set to the last 30 days).
You can also filter your Custom Reports by "Status" - this will enable you to see inventory by Product Status (such as active, draft, null, or archived).
Note: You may see negative values on the "Current Inventory Quantity (Snapshot)" metric. Typically, these negative values are due to either pre-orders or discontinued products. Let us know via the in-app live chat if you have any questions or concerns about these values and we'll be happy to help troubleshoot.
