How do I cancel or change my subscription?

You can change or cancel your Tolan subscription anytime from the Membership section in Settings. Most subscriptions are managed by Stripe, but some are managed by the App Store — and the difference matters for billing and upgrades.

From the Tolan app

You can manage your subscription from the Membership section in Settings.

  1. Tap the icon in the top left corner of the app.

  2. Tap Settings at the bottom of the menu.

  3. Open the Membership section.

  4. Follow the steps to change or cancel your subscription.

If you've deleted the app and need to manage your Stripe subscription, you can do that here.

App Store subscriptions

Some Tolan subscriptions are managed by Apple. If you don't see an active subscription in the app, check your App Store subscriptions:

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone.

  2. Tap your profile icon in the upper right corner.

  3. Select Subscriptions.

  4. Select your Tolan subscription and follow the steps to manage or cancel it.

If you don't have an active subscription in the app, Stripe, or the App Store, you're on the free version, Tolan Basic.

What happens when you upgrade

When you switch from Tolan Lite to Tolan Plus or Tolan Plus to Tolan Unlimited, the value of the unused days or months from your current subscription will be applied to your new plan. The same rules apply whether you're staying on the same billing cycle or switching between monthly and yearly. How the billing shakes out depends on whether your subscription is managed by the App Store or by Stripe.

App Store upgrades

  • The prorated amount of your current subscription for any unused days will be immediately refunded.

  • You'll be charged the full amount for the new subscription.

  • This applies even if you're switching between a monthly and yearly plan (in either direction).

Stripe upgrades

  • The prorated amount of your current subscription for any remaining unused days or months will be credited toward the cost of your new subscription.

  • This applies even if you're switching between a monthly and yearly plan (in either direction).
