You can copy and edit any list. When you copy a list, your original list is not altered. You can add and delete words, rearrange words and edit sentences on copied lists.
Copying Lists
Click on any of the Word Lists from the left menu.
Click on the underlined title of the desired word list.
Click on the Copy button located at the top of the list.
Select the Word List Type and then click Continue.
Copied lists will appear in My Words Lists in the left menu. Click on My Words Lists from the left menu to edit the copied list.
Editing Lists Before Creating a New Assignment
Once you have copied a list, this is new copy is now your list.
Click on My Word Lists from the left menu.
You have the option to use the word as it is. You can now Assign Games, Assign Tests or Print the List quickly by clicking on one of these buttons next to the underlined name of the list.
To view and edit the list, click on the underlined title of the list. This will open the list in the right panel.
The title will automatically tell you the date this list has been copied. Click inside the Name textbox to edit the name of copied list. Students will be able to see the name of the list.
You have the option to enter a grade level, description, and set the status for the newly copied list. This information is for your personal use.
Editing the Word List
Above the first word on your list, youโll find the following editing options:
Auto Reorder - The platform will automatically, and randomly, reorder the word list.
Manual Reorder - This will allow you to move individual words to the top of the list, to the bottom of the list, or select the number placement of any word.
Batch Entry - Quickly add more words to the existing list.
Add Words - Add words to the list one at a time.
Remove All - This will delete all the words and sentences or definitions from the word list.
To remove a word from the list, click the red Remove button located to the right of the word.
Click the speaker icon to hear the word, sentence, or definition read aloud. To record your own voice reading the word, sentence or definition, click the microphone icon. You will be prompted to record your own voice.
Depending on the list type:
Click the Add New Sentence or Add New Definition button to create a new sentence or definition for the word. This is a great way to personalize your lists. Students will then hear or see the sentence or definition you have entered into the platform on games and tests.
You may also see the Available Sentence or Available Definition button for some words. You can use this button to select another sentence or definition option quickly.
