Using the Sentences and Stories Report

Learn how to view student writing, scores, and a summary of feedback from Sentence Writing and Story Writing activities.

The Sentences and Stories Report gives teachers a quick overview of student responses from Sentence Writing and Story Writing activities.

NOTE: Sentence Writing and Story Writing activities, along with their related reports, are available to Plus Plan users.

From the report, teachers can view:

  • Each student's sentence or story

  • Points earned out of points possible

  • A summary of misspelled or missing words

  • A summary of feedback for each student


How to Run the Report

  1. Click Reports in the left menu.

  2. Each assignment appears in its own column. Click the blue information icon to view the full title of an assignment.

  3. Click the Report icon for the desired activity and reporting level. Reports can be viewed at the Teacher, Class, or Individual Student level. To view individual students, click Display Students.

  4. Click Run Report next to Sentences & Stories.


Viewing the Report

The report will open in a panel on the right and display a writing summary for the selected students.

For each student, you can view:

  • The student's sentence or story

  • Points earned out of points possible

  • A summary of feedback, including misspelled or missing words

For more detailed feedback on an individual response, click Results in the left menu, find the activity, and click the underlined activity title. Then click Responses to the right of the student's name.
