Is there a free version of the app available, or do I need a subscription?

Yes, Praktika offers a free version that allows you to practice English with limited features. Free users have access to a single AI avatar, while Premium subscribers can unlock additional avatars and advanced features. To get the full experience, including more customization and learning options, consider upgrading to Praktika Premium. To access the free version, simply hit "X" on the top right corner of the Paypal.

How can I purchase a subscription?

You can purchase a Praktika Premium subscription directly from the app or through the links below:

Simply select your preferred method, choose your plan, and complete the payment to unlock exclusive avatars, advanced learning features, and full access to all languages!

I purchased a subscription, but it’s not appearing in my account. What should I do?

Click “Restore Purchase” in the “Subscription” section, and it should appear next.

Do you offer a family subscription with multiple profiles?

Currently, we don’t have a family subscription yet, but we’re working on it. Stay tuned—we’ll be launching it for iOS users soon!

Can I use the same account across different devices (Android and iPhone)?

Unfortunately, app accounts are platform-specific, meaning you can’t use the same account across different devices (Android and iPhone) unless you have registered with the same email address on both platforms. If you do, your account will automatically be restored when you log in with the same email address on your phone.

Can I get a monthly subscription? I want to pay monthly.

You can access a monthly subscription by completing the onboarding here.

How can I manage my subscription and check the start and end dates?

For iOS Users (App Store):

  1. Open the App Store app.

  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.

  3. Select “Subscriptions” to view all active and expired subscriptions.

  4. Find Praktika in the list to check your start and end dates or manage your subscription.

For Android Users (Google Play Store):

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Select “Payments & Subscriptions” → “Subscriptions”.

  4. Locate Praktika to view your subscription details.

  • Note: Since the App Store and Google Play Store manage these subscriptions, any changes (like cancellations or refunds) should be handled directly through their platforms.

For Direct Purchases via Stripe:

  1. Go to the Subscriptions Page:

  2. Log in to Your Stripe Account:

    • Use the email associated with your purchase to sign in.

  3. Navigate to the Billing Section:

    • On the left sidebar, click Billing to expand the menu.

    • Under Billing, select Subscriptions.

  4. Find Your Subscription:

    • You’ll see a list of all your subscriptions.

    • Click the Active tab to view currently running subscriptions.

    • If you don’t see your subscription, check Scheduled, Canceled, or All tabs.

  5. Manage or Cancel Your Subscription:

    • Click on your Praktika subscription to open its details.

    • You can update payment details, change plans, or cancel the subscription from this page.

    • To cancel, look for the "Cancel Subscription" option and follow the prompts.

Can I pay for my subscription using cryptocurrency or other payment methods?

Do you offer language learning scholarships or discounts for students in need?

Yes, we are committed to making language learning accessible to as many people as possible. We offer language learning scholarships and occasional discounts for students facing financial constraints. To apply, simply fill out the form on our Scholarship page and share your situation. We’ll review your application carefully, and if it’s approved, you’ll receive a free yearly premium subscription!

How many languages are included in the subscription?

How can I cancel my subscription?

For Google Play Store (Android) Users:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. Tap on the profile icon at the top right corner.

  3. Select “Payments & subscriptions,” then tap “Subscriptions.”

  4. You should see “Praktika” listed here. To manage your subscription, simply tap on it.

For App Store (iOS) Users:

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Tap on your name at the top, then go to “Subscriptions.”

  3. You’ll see “Praktika” under your active subscriptions. Tap it to view options.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • Make sure you log in with the same email you used for the purchase.

  • If you don’t see your subscription, check under All Subscriptions to ensure it's not in a different status.

Important: Please remember, we do not directly control subscription billing for app store purchases. For any issues related to refunds, please contact the app store’s customer support directly.


Subscription Transfer

At Praktika.ai, we understand that your circumstances might change, requiring you to access your subscription on a different device or even transfer it to another user. This article explains how subscription transfers work and what steps you need to take.

Important Considerations:

  • Platform Specificity: Praktika.ai subscriptions are tied to the platform where the purchase was originally made: Google Play Store (Android), Apple App Store (iOS), or our website (Stripe). You cannot directly transfer a subscription between these platforms (e.g., from Google Play to the Apple App Store).

  • Billing Remains: Transferring subscription access does not transfer billing responsibility. The original purchaser remains responsible for managing the subscription (including canceling auto-renewal) through the original platform.

  • Learning Progress: Transferring subscription access does not transfer learning progress, vocabulary, or history. The new account will start fresh.

Possible Transfer Scenarios:

1. Android to iOS (or vice-versa) - Using the Same Login Method:

  • If you originally subscribed on Android and used "Sign in with Google," and you now want to use the app on an iPhone, you can simply log in to the Praktika app on your iPhone using the same Google account. No transfer is needed. Your subscription access will follow your Google account.

  • If you use an Apple ID sign-in on your iOS, and want to use it on an Android, that transfer of account is not possible.

2. iOS to Android (or vice-versa) - Different Login Methods:

  • If you used "Sign in with Apple" on your iOS device, you cannot directly access that account on Android, because Android does not support the Apple ID login method. In this case, a subscription access transfer is necessary (but billing remains with Apple).

3. Transferring to a Different Account (Any Platform):

  • You might want to transfer the remaining time on your subscription to a friend, family member, or simply a different email address you own. This is possible, but it's a manual process.

How to Request a Subscription Access Transfer (Scenarios 2 & 3):

If either scenario 2 or 3 applies to you, we can manually grant premium access to a different Praktika account. To do this, we need the following:

  • Proof of Purchase: Provide a copy of your original subscription purchase receipt.

  • Recipient's Email Address: Provide the email address of the existing Praktika.ai account to which you want to transfer the remaining subscription time.

Where to Submit Your Request: Please gather the required information and submit your transfer request through our official contact form.

Time to resolution: 48 hours.

Important Reminder: The original purchaser remains responsible for managing the billing of the subscription, including canceling auto-renewal to prevent future charges. The transfer only grants access; it does not change who is billed.
