At Praktika.ai, we understand that your circumstances might change, requiring you to access your subscription on a different device or even transfer it to another user. This article explains how subscription transfers work and what steps you need to take.
Important Considerations:
Platform Specificity: Praktika.ai subscriptions are tied to the platform where the purchase was originally made: Google Play Store (Android), Apple App Store (iOS), or our website (Stripe). You cannot directly transfer a subscription between these platforms (e.g., from Google Play to the Apple App Store).
Billing Remains: Transferring subscription access does not transfer billing responsibility. The original purchaser remains responsible for managing the subscription (including canceling auto-renewal) through the original platform.
Learning Progress: Transferring subscription access does not transfer learning progress, vocabulary, or history. The new account will start fresh.
Possible Transfer Scenarios:
1. Android to iOS (or vice-versa) - Using the Same Login Method:
If you originally subscribed on Android and used "Sign in with Google," and you now want to use the app on an iPhone, you can simply log in to the Praktika app on your iPhone using the same Google account. No transfer is needed. Your subscription access will follow your Google account.
If you use an Apple ID sign-in on your iOS, and want to use it on an Android, that transfer of account is not possible.
2. iOS to Android (or vice-versa) - Different Login Methods:
If you used "Sign in with Apple" on your iOS device, you cannot directly access that account on Android, because Android does not support the Apple ID login method. In this case, a subscription access transfer is necessary (but billing remains with Apple).
3. Transferring to a Different Account (Any Platform):
You might want to transfer the remaining time on your subscription to a friend, family member, or simply a different email address you own. This is possible, but it's a manual process.
How to Request a Subscription Access Transfer (Scenarios 2 & 3):
If either scenario 2 or 3 applies to you, we can manually grant premium access to a different Praktika account. To do this, we need the following:
Proof of Purchase: Provide a copy of your original subscription purchase receipt.
Recipient's Email Address: Provide the email address of the existing Praktika.ai account to which you want to transfer the remaining subscription time.
Where to Submit Your Request: Please gather the required information and submit your transfer request through our official contact form.
Time to resolution: 48 hours.
Important Reminder: The original purchaser remains responsible for managing the billing of the subscription, including canceling auto-renewal to prevent future charges. The transfer only grants access; it does not change who is billed.
