Sales Tips & Tricks: Lease Credit Approval Requests

To help streamline your PREO lease credit approval process and avoid delays, here are some essential tips and best practices:


Before Submitting a Request

  • Complete All Required Fields: Ensure all customer details are entered. Missing information will trigger a warning.

  • Phone Numbers: Must be 10 digits—no dashes or spaces.

  • Customer Contacts: Do not use “@xerox.com” email addresses.


📤 After Submission

  • Once submitted, the status will show “eCredit Pending” along with an eCredit Transaction Number.

  • If you need to make changes:

    • Wait for a final decision (Approved, Rejected, or More Information Required).

    • Then cancel the current proposal and create a new one.

    • If you only need to update the “Requirements” page, refer to Step 8 in the process guide.

⚠️ Note: While the status is “eCredit Pending,” you cannot submit a new request or cancel the existing one.


🛠️ Need to Modify a Pending Request?

Contact the OSS team for assistance if the request is still pending and changes are needed.


📩 If You Receive a “More Information Required” Status

This means additional documentation is needed to support the application.

  • Check the Chat Screen for the “More Information” message.

  • Or, view the latest comment under the eCredit Response section on the request form.

  • Work with the OSS team to gather and upload the required documents (e.g., Personal Guarantee, Financial Statements) to the Additional Documents section in PREO.

  • The OSS team will handle resubmission to the eCredit and PEAC teams.
