Summary

PREO Order Management queues enable each user to customize their experience to help drive their individual workflow. Understanding the filtering and data management options is useful.

Filtering

The top "Grid Search" will search across multiple fields simultaneously and filter the displayed data.

  • Search is limited to: Region, Branch, Order Type, Sales Rep, Customer, Proposal Name, Proposal Number, Job Number

  • You cannot use spaces or multiple search terms

  • The search will always be a "contains"

Each column also has a filter option. The filter options are drop-down, date search, or text. The filter options can also be customized, such as changing a text search from "contains" to "empty."

The Grid Search can be a quick way to filter data or combined with the column filters. For example, if you are looking for a specific Job Number, entering the job number in the grid search or the column filter will give us the same result

When your data is filtered using any of the column filters, you will see a message above the data grid that says "The data has been filtered".

If your page is missing data that you expect to be there, your data may be filtered. You can use the "Reset Filters" button to clear all current filters. It's possible that you have a filter on a hidden column.

Column Selection

Each page has many columns available to choose from. The column selector button enables each user to customize which columns display on their profile and is unique to each page. You can have columns selected for "Under Review" different from "Pending Funding". Use this feature to optimize your experience.

The "Reset Columns" button will reset your column selection to the system default for the page you are on only.

Column Resizing

To optimize the layout of your page, you can modify the size of each column by hovering on the line between columns. The sizes will be stored in your profile, just like the column selection. It's best to resize the columns starting on the left side and working your way to the right.

Column Sorting

Each column can be used to sort the data. Use the Up/Down icon on the column to sort.

Exporting

Each queue can be exported to excel using the Export to Excel button. Note that some fields are unable to export and may not show on the excel file. It's recommended to use custom "Self-Service Exports" if the missing data is required for your workflow.

Recommendations

Go through each of your Order Management queues and select the columns that are most valuable for that queue.

Then, resize the columns working left to right.

Day to day, use a combination of Grid Search and Column Searching to further enhance your workflow.
