PREO creates Sales Quotes in E-Automate. These quotes must be converted to Sales Orders and updated to complete the Sales Order process. This article describes the steps to take in detail.
Monitor the PENDING PROCESSING queue on the Order Management page
The row is ready for Sales Quotes when the Milestone Status is set to "READY FOR QUOTES"
The inventory team will first create pickups on the order. Once they are complete, they will update the status.
Take Ownership of the Proposal or Assign Ownership to a resource
Open the Proposal. PREO will navigate to the PROCESSING page of the proposal
Click on the CREATE QUOTES (ALL) button
Confirm that all rows have a Quote Number assigned
Note that the remarks have been created for each quote number at the bottom of the page
Open E-Automate and navigate to Sales Quotes
You may filter using today's date, or simply click GO
Open the first Sales Quote
Copy the Remarks from PREO and paste into the Sales Quote Remarks field
Click OK to Save the Quote
Do not Print
Right Click on the Quote and click NEW SALES ORDER
Complete the Sales Order Steps below
Repeat for each Sales Quote
When all Sales Orders have been created, complete the Processing Checklist to advance the Proposal to the next Milestone Stage
SALES ORDER STEPS
Set the Order Type to EQ05.
Create/Set the Job Number on the Miscellaneous tab
Use the Job Number magnifying glass icon to search for the PREO Job number
If not found, use the new icon to create a new Job Number
Set Job Number and Description to the PREO Job Number
Set the customer to the customer on the Sales Order
Perform any other Sales Order specific tasks required
Click OK to close the Sales Order
