Which rate plan does Pricepoint update?
Pricepoint always connects to and updates your base rate. This is true for the vast majority of PMSs. If you want other rate plans (such as non-refundable or breakfast-included) to reflect Pricepoint's pricing, those rate plans need to be set up as derived rates in your PMS, calculated from the base rate.
What is a derived rate?
A derived rate is a rate plan that's automatically calculated from a base rate, usually as a fixed amount or percentage difference.
For example:
Non-refundable rate = Base rate − 10%
Breakfast rate = Base rate + €15
This calculation happens in your PMS, and the derived rate always follows the base rate's pricing strategy rather than being priced independently.
