How Pricepoint Connects to Your PMS

How Pricepoint's two-way PMS integration works, why Pricepoint doesn't connect directly to OTAs, typical setup times, and current limitations.

How does the integration work?

Pricepoint has a two-way integration to your PMS: it pulls in reservation data and real-time availability, and pushes price updates back whenever they're needed.

After each availability change, Pricepoint evaluates whether a price update is needed, and if so, sends the new price to your PMS instantly.

For most PMSs, Pricepoint only connects to and updates your base rate. The exception is eviivo, RoomRaccoon, eZee, Mews, FDM and Apaleo, where Pricepoint can manage additional rate plans. See Rate Plans and Derived Rates for how this affects other rate plans.

Important: Pricepoint only updates prices in your PMS or Channel Manager. Pricepoint does not connect directly to OTAs (such as Booking.com or Airbnb). Once a price reaches your PMS/CM, it's your PMS or Channel Manager's job to distribute that price onward to your booking engine and connected OTAs. If a price looks correct in your PMS/CM but doesn't match on an OTA, this needs to be checked directly in your PMS or Channel Manager, not with Pricepoint, since Pricepoint has no visibility into that final step.

Once Pricepoint is live on a property, prices should only be managed from Pricepoint. If a rate is changed manually in your PMS or Channel Manager, Pricepoint will overwrite it with its own calculated price the next time it pushes an update. If you need to make a manual change, it should be done in Pricepoint — not in your PMS or CM — so it isn't reverted.

How long does setup take?

Setup time depends on your PMS. Our team requires a minimum of 3 days to prepare and connect most PMS integrations, though a few less common PMSs may require longer.

What Are the Limitations of the Integration?

Pricepoint's AI currently handles pricing only. It does not manage restrictions like minimum or maximum stay. Those need to be set directly in your PMS.
