How support is handled for our cloud-based service, AccountEdge Hosted

AccountEdge Hosted is a cloud-based service that is provided by AccountEdge in partnership with our hosting provider, Apps4Rent.

When you need technical support for your AccountEdge Hosted subscription, depending on the issue, you may need to contact Apps4Rent or our technical support team--phone support with AccountEdge is included as part of all AccountEdge Hosted subscriptions!

When should I contact AccountEdge Support?

AccountEdge's technical support team should be contacted for issues on AccountEdge Hosted if they are something related to the software itself. Some examples include:

  • Out-of-balance accounts/records

  • Information about how to perform tasks in AccountEdge

  • Bugs/glitches or odd behavior within the AccountEdge application itself.

When should I contact Apps4Rent for support?

As the hosting provider, Apps4Rent should be contacted when you encounter issues with your platform, unrelated to the AccountEdge software itself.

Apps4Rent should be contacted for the following issues:

  • you are unable to connect to your Hosted desktop

  • You get the message that your AccountEdge file is “locked” or “in use”. This requires a reboot of the hosted desktop.

  • Performance issues – the Hosted desktop is running slowly, or your users are experiencing excessive lag.

  • Printing related issues.

  • Emailing related issues.

  • You receive a message that the “license is not valid”.

  • If you need user login information reset or the Control panel login reset.

  • You have forgotten your password.

How do I contact Apps4Rent?

When you contact Apps4Rent, you will want to make sure you provide your 12-digit serial number for AccountEdge Hosted.
