The Time Clock in ProgressionLIVE

Adding time with punch-in and punch-out (mobile application).

Access requirements for the time clock

The time clock is only accessible if certain conditions are met.

Required prerequisites

  • The Timesheet module must be active in the account

  • The Time Clock – Mobile Application option must be enabled in the timesheet module configuration

  • The Time Clock permission must be enabled in the employee's role

Once these elements are configured, the time clock becomes available in the mobile application.


Accessing the time clock

  1. Log in to the ProgressionLIVE mobile application

  2. Open the main menu

  3. Click Time Clock


Starting a time entry

Starting a punch

  • Click Start

  • Time begins accumulating immediately

  • Punch information can be modified while it is in progress

Reset

  • The Reset button clears the punch to zero

  • No data is saved

Activity (required)

  • Every time entry must have an activity

  • Visible activities can be limited per human resource in the Timesheet tab of the human resource record

Work profiles (CCQ module)

  • Available only if the CCQ module is active

  • Influences CCQ reports for break management and profitability calculations in tasks or projects

  • Configured in the Management section

Project, task, customer, and location

Task and project

  • The user only sees:

    • Tasks or projects they are assigned to or assisting on

    • Tasks that are dispatched and not completed

  • When selecting a task or project:

    • The customer and location are automatically filled in

Customer and location

  • All locations are visible

  • A location can be selected before the customer — the customer will then be automatically selected

Note: The system retains the information from the last punch (activity, customer, location) by default.


Completing and submitting a time entry

Complete / Submit

When submitting, it is possible to:

  • Modify the start and end date and time

  • Modify: Activity, Task, Customer, Location

  • Add comments

  • Fill in fields related to the time entry type

Important: If you go back after modifying the times, those changes will not be saved.


Breaks and time entry types

Breaks (CCQ module)

If the CCQ module is active in the account and a work profile has been added to the time entry, the day's breaks must be indicated:

  • AM break:

    • Yes — indicates in the CCQ report that the break was taken

    • No — adds the break time in the CCQ report

    • Not applicable — has no impact on the CCQ report

  • Lunch break:

    • Yes — deducts the break time in the CCQ report

    • No — indicates in the CCQ report that the break was not taken, meaning the employee worked through their lunch break

    • Not applicable — has no impact on the CCQ report

  • PM break:

    • Yes — indicates in the CCQ report that the break was taken

    • No — adds the break time in the CCQ report

    • Not applicable — has no impact on the CCQ report

Time entry types

  • Allow adding custom fields

  • Certain fields may be required before submission

  • Configured via time entry types


Viewing the complete timesheet

To see all time entries:

  • Go to the Timesheet section in the mobile application menu


FAQ

Why don't I see the time clock in the app?
Because the Timesheet module, the Time Clock – Mobile Application option, or the role permission is not enabled.

Is an activity required to punch in?
Yes. An activity is required for every time entry.

Can I modify an active punch?
Yes. Information can be modified as long as the punch is active.

Can I modify the times after completing a punch?
Yes, before the final submission.

Why are some fields required at the end of a punch?
Because the activity is linked to a time entry type that enforces required fields.

Are breaks required?
They depend on the CCQ work profile and can be yes, no, or not applicable.<

Where can I see all my time entries?
In the Timesheet section of the mobile application.
