Payments Tab — Valpay Unified Portal

Understand, filter, and manage all your payment transactions from one place.


Overview

The Payments tab in the Valpay Unified Portal lets you view, analyze, manage, and export all payment transactions made across your stores or merchant accounts. It is the central tool for transaction tracking and financial reconciliation.


Key benefits and use cases

  • View all payment transactions on a single screen

  • Quickly filter and search for specific payments

  • Access complete details for each transaction

  • Perform actions such as refunds or cancellations

  • Export data for accounting or internal reporting


Accessing the Payments tab

  1. Navigate to the left menu of the Valpay portal.

  2. Click Payments.

  3. The transactions page opens automatically with the available filters.


Using payment filters

Filters allow you to refine the transaction display based on your analysis needs.

Filter by date range

Select the desired period:

  • All time

  • Today

  • Yesterday

  • Last 7 days

  • Last 30 days

  • Custom range

Tip: Use a custom range for monthly summaries or accounting reconciliation.

Filter by payment source

Refine transactions by origin:

  • MOTO (Mail Order / Telephone Order)

  • Card on File

➡️ Ideal for analyzing specific payment types.

Filter by store

  • All stores

  • Selected stores

➡️ Useful if you manage multiple locations or merchant accounts.

Filter by payment method

Analyze transactions by card type or payment method:

  • Visa

  • Mastercard

  • American Express

  • Other supported methods

➡️ Helps identify the methods most used by your customers.

Filter by transaction status

Display transactions by their state:

  • Sales

  • Refunds

  • Voids

  • Chargebacks

➡️ Provides a quick view of completed, cancelled, or disputed payments.


Searching for a transaction

Use the search bar to quickly locate a specific transaction using:

  • The transaction ID

  • The last 4 digits of the card

➡️ This is the fastest way to find a known payment.


Understanding the transaction display

The transaction list shows the following key information:

  • Transaction ID

  • Date

  • Customer

  • Store

  • Amount

  • Card information

  • Transaction status

  • Source

Click on a transaction to access its full details.


Viewing transaction details

In the detailed view of a transaction, you can:

  • View all associated information

  • Check the current status

  • Identify the store and payment method

  • Download the receipt, if available

➡️ Very useful for reconciliation and customer support.


Available actions on a transaction

Depending on the transaction status, certain actions may be available:

  • Cancel an authorization

  • Refund a completed sale

Important: Available actions only appear in the detailed view of the transaction.


Viewing transaction fees

Once the transaction is fully settled, you can view:

  • The fees associated with the transaction

Note: Fees may not appear immediately before full settlement.


Exporting payment transactions

  1. Apply the desired filters.

  2. Click Export Results.

  3. Choose the format:

    • CSV

    • Excel

  4. Confirm the export.

➡️ Exported files are sent by email to the address associated with your account.
