The "Create Task" Campaign Step

Learn how to automatically assign tasks within a ProLine campaign to streamline your workflow.

To improve efficiency and ensure tasks are assigned correctly, you can automate task creation within a campaign in ProLine. Follow these steps to set up automatic task assignment.

How to Add a New Step to Your Campaign

  1. Access the Campaign Editor: Navigate to:

    • Hamburger menu > Campaigns > Choose a campaign folder and click on Open Folder > Choose a campaign and click on Edit Campaign.

    • A campaign's stage triggers (gear icon) > View Campaign. Note: this might not be possible if the stage has no triggers or if the stage triggers have no campaigns.

  2. Locate the Plus Button:

    • For a pre-built campaign, scroll to the bottom to find the + button.

    • For a new campaign, the + button will be at the top.

  3. Click the Plus Button: Clicking the + button will add a new step. The new step will default to the "disabled" action.

  4. Click the dropdown on the new step and select Create Task.

    • Set the task to be created every time a contact is added to a campaign.

Customizing Task Details and Timing

  1. Task Name and Description:

    • Task Name: Use dynamic tags to personalize the task name. For example, {{contact_fname}} added to Rehash.

    • Description: Include detailed instructions using custom variables. For example, Contact {{contact_fname}} from {{project_name}} started lead rehash, call within 24 hours.

  2. Timing and Assignment:

    • Set when the task should be due. For example, choose to have it due immediately or within a certain number of days.

    • Assign the task to the appropriate contact automatically.

  3. Additional Options:

    • Lock project stage until the task is completed, if necessary.

    • Ensure tasks are scheduled only during working hours, excluding weekends and holidays.
